Filled with explosive numbers like “Fine” and “What is Love,” the very first of his solo ventures is packed with an unrelenting collection of songs that sound fresh, yet instantly familiar. It ranges from the bracing pop of the opening track “Keep Waiting” to the deceivingly sunny bubblegum “Not Alone.” Rounding out the collection is the mid-tempo “Spun Out” and “Keep Waiting” that cruises on a meaty riff that could fit into the Soundgarden canon. Artist-production duo COASTCITY release a vibey 90’s inspired video focused on a typical day boating in Miami, FL with latest single “Contigo” featuring rising Trap star Fuego and songstress Nat’Lee.
Directed by Marcos Ruiz aka Framegod (Farruko, Rick Ross, Darell, Arcangel), the video truly embodies the Miami lifestyle. “For this video we didn’t want to complicate the storyline but rather focus on what a real & fun Miami boat hang with friends is. We felt that would better compliment the feel and vibe of the song and wanted the world to see what Miami weekends are all about,” says Jean Rodriguez, main vocals and producer.

Speaking about the song, the band says: “You have to write bad songs to write good songs. That’s a crass way of putting it, but not only is songwriting a numbers game (the more songs you write, the more will have a chance of being better), it’s a reactive process. ‘like u do’ was written directly in reaction to our getting tired of writing darker, slower songs for several weeks – it felt like a massive breath of fresh air when we finally found it.
