With a childhood spent in the San Francisco bay on horseback, surrounded by trees and immersed in witchcraft lore, Knick’s divine influences have long been her guiding light. This mystic, nature-bound upbringing shines through all her songs: otherworldly dream-pop beamed directly from the ether realm.
From budding seeds to the overarching themes of this viridescent volume, the outfit hones something stylistically varied, surrealistically inclined and tactile, like a brightly plumaged exotic bird lost in the upper stretches of the northern hemisphere.
“Enter Sound & Fury, which is simultaneously the most left-field, decisively non-country offering of Simpson’s career and precisely the record anyone who has been paying any attention to his career over the last several years would have expected him to make. Over ten songs, Simpson leads his tight-knit rock quartet through a super-charged flow of indignant Southern Rock, strutting disco-boogie, and pulsing modern blues…”- ROLLING STONE

In August the band released a video directed by Mike Rodway for the track “Me And The Devil Blues”. Today, Alexina releases her new EP titled “Partying on my Own.” This alt-pop-noir release is a heart-wrenching, yet ultimately triumphant breakup story, told chronologically from a moment of doubt after locking eyes with a stranger at a house party in “Cool Together,” to the cathartic, hopeful reflection on a tumultuous relationship in “The Millennial.” This deeply personal, autobiographical EP is lyrically raw and nostalgic complimented by bittersweet, warm synths and retro drum beats. Alexina speaks musically for her gender and generation- a girl growing up broke in a city where life is tough, who is scrutinized on social media, and who can’t afford rent. The “Partying on my Own” EP is an invitation to every other girl/guy who has been through these situations to feel powerful and dance along with these anthemic, sun-bleached songs.

She continues, “Both Rich (Riven) and I are avid fans of not only current but vintage gaming. We took the idea of having one of our main characters, Claire, who is blind to the world of the living but can see reapers and the dead, playing a video game with reaper characters.
