Jordan Whitmore set to release EP, Good Things

Texas-based singer-songwriter Jordan Whitmore is set to share her rootsy pop/Americana musical goodness with the world on September 6, 2019, with the release of her EP, Good Things. Mixing heartland rock & roll guitars with bright pop hooks a la Sheryl Crow, Whitmore showcases her cross-genre sound on the EP, which was produced by Brian Douglas Phillips (who produced her 2014 album, Other Side, as well as singles like “Here’s To You” and “I Promise”). Atwood Magazine admired the first single, “Something Different” (released in May), for its “touch of heartland rock n roll mixed with pop catchiness, making it all in all feel-good and familiar.”

Set in a futuristic world of flying cars and hologram billboards, the video follows guest-star and Disney actress Skai Jackson in her attempt to escape Lil Nas X as he pops up everywhere she goes, trying to win her over as a fan. The treatment for the visual came directly from Lil Nas X himself and was brought to life and directed by film director, special effects artist, musician and YouTuber Mike Diva.

Following the release of his album Bae 5, future funk pioneer and producer Yung Bae has released the official video for his funky single “Bad Boy” feat. fast-rising rappers bbno$ and Billy Marchiafava. The video directed by Entertainment Forever, stars bbno$ as the lead singer and rapper delivering verses front and center while bandmates Yung Bae, Yung Heazy, Berlin, and Billy are juxtaposed against a changing backdrop of old clips. The visual was shot with vintage cameras from the Soul Train days and pays nods to that era via a nostalgic lens with a modern-day twist full of comedic-memes.

Stone Jack Jones Shares “I’m Gone” Single + Video, New LP ‘Black Snake” Out 9/13 Via yk Records

Today, Nashville-based veteran alt folk artist Stone Jack Jones shares his new single and video “I’m Gone,” the third feature track off his forthcoming LP Black Snake. The 405 premiered the track and video with praise, stating, “Ruminating on such existential subject matter is a tried-and-true formula for capital-S Serious songs, but Jones’ songwriting and the track’s carefully paced structure keep things from getting too formulaic or indulgent. Instead, the poignancy of Jones’ ideas shines through, resonating more and more as each instrumental layer falls into place.” Black Snake LP is out 9/13 via yk Records. With Social Media Anxiety Disorder, Minnesota singer-songwriter Dan Israel returns with his 15th studio album, a mere 17 months after his acclaimed 2018 release You’re Free.

Social Media Anxiety Disorder was recorded in the spring and summer of 2019 at two different Twin Cities studios, featuring a powerful batch of songs tracked with producer/engineers Jon Herchert (Thomas Abban, Annie Mack) and Steve Price (The Suburbs, Mary Bue), and featuring drummers Peter Anderson and David J. Russ, along with special guests Jeremy Ylvisaker, Steve Brantseg, John Fields, Janey Winterbauer, Tonia Hughes Kendrick, Jon Duncan, Paul Odegaard, and Randy Casey.
