KRIS KROSS AMSTERDAM & CONOR MAYNARD DROP ‘OOH GIRL’ (FEAT. A BOOGIE WIT DA HOODIE)
The record is an impressive blend of sultry R&B rhythms and infectious chorus lines, taken from a timeless R&B sample (originally recorded as ‘Ooh Boy’ by Rose Royce in 1977). As always, Kris Kross Amsterdam knows how to give this a twist of their own, making the melody into a fresh, contemporary, instant classic gem.
Cris Cab Drops “Diamonds” EP :: New Music Video for “Sorry”
At just 26 years old, Cris Cab has accomplished more in the world of music than most artists could ever dream. He has hit the top of the charts, won awards, collaborated with some of the biggest names in all of music, and toured the world playing in arenas, festivals, and clubs. Yet, he’s somehow still just getting started.
Through the lyrics in “I Love Joyce Morris”, Andy Clark is not only open to reflect upon the ups and downs in life, he also bakes it with an ingredient of wittiness. In the album title “I Love Joyce Morris”, meaning his children and referring to the saying “You’re the apple of my eye”, he uses the name of the local apple orchard “Joyce Morris”, inviting the audience to solve the puzzle of the album title. Combining his witty lyric writing with his strong compositions, he certainly knows how to stand out.

BERNARD JABS RELEASES NEW SONG “COME AGAIN” FEAT. IANN DIOR
Growing up in Tifton, Georgia during part of the height of Southern rap, Bernard gravitated towards the star power of Lil Wayne. After seeing Wayne in the music video for “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy,” Bernard was entranced in the lifestyle – the cars, the girls, the money, the confidence. Bernard Jabs took to the culture surrounding southern rap and used that history to guide him towards the future.
“When I was in jail, I got the name ‘Grandson’ because I reminded people of King David,” says King Von. “The older guys in jail, guys who were around when David was around, would call me that, cause I carried myself like him–‘you like David’s grandson.’ King David was a legendary figure, and a guy that everybody looked up to. He ran the streets with his own morals, and his own code, and that’s the code I live by too. That’s why people call me Grandson. Everybody wanted to follow me, and be around me.”

Boy Scouts Release New Album ‘Free Company’ Today, Tour With Jay Som Begins September 11
Written in the wake of a breakup, Free Company is the latest album by Boy Scouts, aka Taylor Vick. Out today, Free Company confronts the pain of loss head-on beneath its weightlessly catchy melodies. It may be an album about “good old classic heartbreak,” as Vick puts it, but it relishes the process of healing just as much as it carefully weighs the grief. With sunny vocal harmonies, bright electric guitars, and shuffling up-tempo drums, Free Company doesn’t show its hand right away. It asks you to look past its sheen and take in Vick’s deeply contemplative lyrics, which add dimension to her sun-soaked arrangements.

Ashley McBryde Preps New Album; First Taste Available Now, “One Night Standards”
Ashley McBryde was sitting in a dimly lit writer’s room of her management office in East Nashville earlier this year with Girl Going Nowhere’s “Livin’ Next to Leroy” and “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” co-writer Nicolette Hayford, and the seasoned songwriter kept coming back to, “It ain’t somethin’, I wanna spend a lot of time in… I ain’t gonna stay for the weekend…” before noting, “there’s something in that notion that not everything has to last forever.” After a whirlwind two years, the ACM Award winner and CMA, GRAMMY and Emmy-nominated Arkansas native knew they’d landed on something special.

LA post-punk musician Tracy Bryant releases new album ‘Hush’
Solo artist Tracy Bryant may not have all the answers, but without a doubt, he’s got a lot to say. Bryant stands in opposition in his native Los Angeles, the city is known too often for its superficial facade. He does what he wants and always has. Inspired by artists and bands like Alex Chilton, Lou Reed, R.E.M., and Cass McCombs, his words ring refreshingly honest embedded into a sound that is undeniably modern. A songwriter lacking the nonsense, the male bravado, the rock ‘n’ roll cliché.
