The band’s new single ‘Missing Out On’ captures gorgeous choral vocals in with a mix of indie and soul similar to Ruel and Lime Cordiale, to present a musical letter to the one who is not going to be keeping you down.

Demonhead: Release New Album Black Devil Lies Today & Australian/New Zealand Tour Announced
Australians Demonhead are releasing their long awaited sophomore album Black Devil Lies. The old school metal influences are strong, but a much darker and heavier Demonhead is on show this time around.
Black Devil Lies an embodiment of the adversity they faced since 2015’s Bring on the Doom. Losing drummer Dave Godfrey (Meshiaak) was quickly followed by guitarist Rüe almost dying and needing emergency surgery to save his life. “His health was so bad that we thought the band wasn’t going to continue”, says frontman David Lowes. He continues: “everyone in the band had been facing adversity over and Black Devil Lies is a metaphor for the dark thoughts that linger behind the surface and make us question ourselves and our existence.” Demonhead went into semi-permanent hiatus until 2017 when Rue’s health improved and the band reformed with Dean (ex Horizon’s Edge) coming into the fold.
It’s been a busy week for Joell Ortiz. He’s been in the middle of a full swing press tour for his new album Monday. After recording at Vevo, he sat down with DJ Kay Slay, ShowOff Radio w/ Statik Selektah, a performance on Gray Rizzy, and then on to Lord Sear’s show. Meanwhile, his video for Before Hip-Hop is racking up views on Youtube. Uproxx and Genius named it one of the top LPs of the month and BET featured him on Rate The Bars. It seems that the Slaughterhouse MC is ready to remind people why the Yaowa Nation remains strong. But, if after all that you still missed it, this weekend is your chance to take in the full album, produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Apollo Brown, Nottz, Heatmakerz, Hesami, The Lasso, and Big K.R.I.T..

The EP will include “WeT,” her past heavy-hitting singles, “Probably Crying” and “I Don’t Wanna Die,” and two brand new tracks.

“‘[Gallant’s] ‘Sleep on It’ finds nourishment in the great R&B ballads of the late 1990s and early 2000s: a sprinkle of Jagged Edge’s ‘True Man,’ a pinch of Avant’s ‘Separated,’ essence of Marques Houston’s ‘Grass Is Greener.'” – Rolling Stone
With a pounding heart for that raw 60´s Detroit energy and the dirty streets of late 70’s London, HOT BREATH is rushing with adrenaline and pure teenage lust. This hard beating four-piece from Gothenburg (Sweden) will run face-first through your bedroom door.
“Easy Love”was written by Leon, along with his longtime collaborator JT Bangs, and while the song may give off a cheery vibe, it’s a deceptively dark pop anthem. The new song discusses a time when Else used sex as a way to escape a dark period in his life, ensuing a vicious cycle that ultimately left a feeling of emptiness. Leon, an advocate of the mental health community, recently started his blog “I’m Not Crazy I Don’t Think” in an effort to start a conversation and join the fight to destigmatize mental health. He seeks to educate people through his blog, which also includes personal stories from guest writers (artists, psychologists, etc.).

Micra, the combined project of Bulgarian born and raised singer-guitarist Ivana Kafedjiyska and Australian guitarist-producer, Robbie Cain, have today shared their new single and accompanying video; ‘Fuzz Captain’, following a premiere on Clash yesterday. After the band recently marked their comeback with the blistering ‘Telepathetic’ and a sold out show at London sweatbox Electrowerkz, Norway’s Sløtface today share another new single entitled ‘Stuff’.
Of the track, the vocalist Haley Shea offers “‘Stuff’ is my attempt at an honest breakup song. It’s just about all the stuff that’s left over after a relationship, especially if you live with someone, that you might have memories associated with that suddenly become painful, and how that slowly fades until the pain is gone and the stuff is just stuff again. It’s also about how great those fresh starts can be, and how you find a way back to yourself, when it’s just yourself.”
Lui Peng about his new song: “I remember I was feeling pretty down from a girl who had broken it off with me. For me it was one of the more intense connections I’ve felt towards someone and it brings me discomfort to think she probably never felt the same. Music has always been a form of release for me. I wanted to portray my vulnerability juxtaposed with a little attitude and thought the best way was to write a song in denial, pretending I was only disappointed. The truth is I was definitely hurt.”

PAUL EPWORTH RELEASES BRAND NEW SOLO TRACK ‘VOYAGER’
Voyager’ draws on Epworth’s love of house and cosmic disco, influenced by and channelled through a heavy filter of 70s sci fi.
During the recording of ‘Voyager’ at his London based studio ‘The Church’, Epworth immersed himself in a stream of sci fi cinema classics of a loop – harking back to a childhood fascination with the far reaches of human exploration and endeavour.
RuthAnne’s sultry, raw vocal takes centre-stage as BBC 1Xtra’s MistaJam reworks the track into a catchy upbeat, club anthem. Premiered with Complex UK, they say “RuthAnne’s output sits somewhere between R&B and pop, pushing her knack for melodies and infectious hooks right to the fore. But MistaJam’s version fires it straight into club territory with a punchy 4×4 beat behind it and a deep, funk-filled groove that veers almost into the realm of disco.”
His third release of the summer, the three-track record sees Brejcha’s sonic explorations into the realm of ‘High-Tech Minimal’ reach new heights. EP opener ‘Redemption’ pairs a chunky, driving bassline with a similarly assertive breakdown. ‘Sternengleiter’ follows and offers the record’s most emotive and hypnotic moments, with title track ‘Butterflies’ closing out the EP which sees him sculpt eight minutes of delicate, fluttering techno. “As a butterfly you feel free. You can be carried by the wind,” Brejcha enthuses. “The title was created in my winter break, free from all obligations.”
