Darrin Bradbury releases new single “Breakfast” | Announces UK tour with Jarrod Dickenson

JAPANESE WALLPAPER To Join Allday & Mallrat On Fall Tour; Listen To “Imaginary Friends” From Forthcoming Album ‘Glow’ Here

Exploring the tender emotions of late teendom and early 20s turmoil, Strum validates the mundane, no emotion is wasted. “None of the things are about massive changes or massive terrible things that happened, or big breakups,” he says. “It’s all songs about little things and it’s also fine to be affected by little things.” Whimsical, yet wistful, textured but not overwhelming, Strum fuses acoustic and electronic instrumentation, rife with electric guitar riffs which nestle into synth loops. Glow is a purposeful arrangement and a slight divergence from Japanese Wallpaper’s prior strictly electronic base. Another artistic choice employed on Glow is the absence of featured singers — or rather, the emergence of Strum’s own voice.

Brooklyn artist Kat Lee (Tiny Gun) shares debut solo single “Isn’t Up To Me”

Otherwise found fronting the Brooklyn rock band Tiny Gun, on the EP, Lee conversely performs a batch of songs in their stripped-down and raw forms, adding to the embedded intimacy of their composition.

SHAED Wows Crowds at Japan’s Summer Sonic as “Trampoline” hits #18 at TOP 40 & #47 on Hot 100

On the heels of wowing massive crowds at Summer Sonic in Osaka and Tokyo last week, SHAED’s breakout single “Trampoline” has hit #18 at TOP 40 aside the likes of Sam Smith, Dan + Shay, Jonas Brothers and Ariana Grande. As the GOLD-selling (U.S.) song eclipses 1.2 MILLION singles sold worldwide and more than 216 MILLION streams, it has also risen another 5 spots this week on Billboard’s Hot 100 to #47.

Kings Theatre, Brooklyn Celebrates Its 90th Birthday With A Season of Diverse Events | More Space! More Shows! More Fun!

Not unlike Noam Chomsky, Burt Bacharach or Betty White, we stand in the presence of another still-relevant nonagenarian who’s had ups and downs and has powered through valiantly…

It is with great honor that we announce the forthcoming 90th Birthday celebration of the Kings Theatre, Brooklyn.

The pride of Flatbush Avenue, the Kings Theatre’s edifice has gone through many remarkable changes over these past eight decades, but the soul of the strikingly beautiful 3,000 capacity venue remains just as strong as it was back in 1929 when it opened as a Loews Theatre, dropping the curtain on the silent film era and ushering in the talkies.

WALKING BOMBS: Sphinges, Sibling Selves And Queens Now Streaming Through Premiere At Captured Howls

The brainchild of one Morgan Y. Evans, WALKING BOMBS delivers an album about the riddle of identity in the modern world, the fight for authenticity and the horrors of an empathy-free online culture, society, and planet. It is about self-exploration as liberation, being multi-gender, and about defeating partial pictures that lead to often willfully badly drawn conclusions. The record features guest contributions from current/former members of Coheed And Cambria, Laterals, Cycle Sluts From Hell, The Beautiful Bastards, Surmiser, Globelamp, Gridfailure, Stormland, and more.

the black watch share surprise psych pop 7″ release “The Crying All the Time” EP

An avowed Anglophile, author, English professor and irrepressible Los Angeles based songwriter John Andrew Fredrick is about to release his 17th full-length as lead songsmith of the black watch. ‘Magic Johnson’ is released in the UK through Atom records on the 8th of August 2019.

It reunites Fredrick with Scott Campbell (Acetone, Carina Round, Stevie Nicks), Andy Creighton (The World Record), and Rob Campanella (The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Tyde) released by Atom Records in the UK in August. Fredrick’s songs are infused with bittersweet sunlit vibes distinctive of what he calls a ‘quintessentially LA record’, yet its influenced by his love of 80s English post-punk, Flying Nun records, C-86 and the psychedelic works of The Beatles.

It’s preceded by the lead single ‘Mad’ in June that’s wry, infectious songwriting is a jangly, joyous celebration of a lover’s craziness, that’s sideways romp stokes the distant embers of acts as disparate as The Wedding Present, The Go-Betweens and The Cure, yet remains distinctively the black watch a band due the attention they genuinely deserve in the country that inspired much of their sound.

The Sidekicks Release New Song “Feed II”

Cleveland indie rockers The Sidekicks have released a new single “Feed II”. A commentary on feeling like we need to present everything we do on social media, the song follows a series of singles from the band which include; “People’s Court” and “Ode To Jerry”. “Feed II is about the constant online projection of self and the ensuing feedback loop this creates between those needing to see & be seen in this manner,” notes vocalist Steve Ciolek.

The keyboard trio, American Tears, is back with their vintage prog sound/approach (and lyrics that prove quite relevant in today’s headlines) on their fifth album overall, White Flags – released on July 26th via Escape Music in association with 12:12 Records. With influences from his earlier work, tipping an occasional hat to ELP, Moody Blues and even Deep Purple, this new album shows the daring, and pure emotion, that can be ripped out of those instruments. In fact, the band may be the only band on the planet playing exclusively keyboard rock! American Tears defies the term “generic” as this purely original music, and scathing lyrics, have few if any standards for comparison – as evidenced by such standout tracks as the nine minute-plus “Fire Down Below” [which can be heard here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrZ1BXcdMng,] the epic title track [which can be sampled here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dhOBVL9vKo], the synth/organ-heavy album opener, “Turn U On,” and the space age “Waltz of the Angels.” The album along with a bundle that includes American Tears t shirt can be purchased via this link – https://dekomusic.weebly.com/american-tears-sales.html.

Jitensha share new album entitled “Periscope”

According to the band: “‘Periscope’ reflects the point of view of a keen yet dejected soul – an outcast introvert looking through a window onto a modern world, fighting the urge to shut the curtain, and reaching out with the hope of being understood. Overall the album is upbeat and peppy. It has pretty, catchy melodies that hook the listener into the lyrics that are insightful and poignant. We hope the music conveys the feeling that a positive bedrock can keep you grooving even through life’s sad moments.”

Peach Pyramid (produced by The New Pornographers) and Skope Mag?

Gert Scholten – 135 bpm

With it’s gated vocal pads, energetic basslines and overall emphasis on atmosphere, the tune right here takes us back to the early times of classic trance sounds, but with a modern level of production. The tune is indeed very atmospheric thanks to all the pads and sounds used, as well as the excellent transitions between breaks and beats, giving the tune great cohesion and consistency and further reinforcing the trancy atmosphere. The track has good energy too, thanks to the great selection of drums and percussion, as well as the added percussion to keep things moving forward. Definitely a must-hear for any trance lover out there, so go check it out for yourself right now!
