Trending: Tool Is Now On Spotify
After being against uploading their music to streaming services for some time, Tool is now on Spotify and — perhaps surprisingly to them — seeing results from it. Have the tides turned? In this piece, we’ll combat some of the common objections artists have toward streaming and help you answer the question: should you distribute your music on streaming platforms?
Watch Lady Lamb’s new video for “Little Flaws”
Today, Lady Lamb (aka Aly Spaltro) has just released a new video for the song “Little Flaws,” the first track on her acclaimed new album Even in The Tremor. Capturing the nostalgic intimacy of old family films, the video was shot in Detroit with an aging videocassette camera and edited by Aly herself. Shooting in this style allows for the intimacy of the song and what she films to come straight to the surface, capturing visually what she sings so earnestly on the song itself: “Baby, you’ve got little flaws like me / You try to be hard but I know you’re a softie / I thought you were tough up until you stopped me / From plucking that tiny white flower from the earth.”

Atlanta’s Holy Beach Share New Single “Incest In The Herd”
When Atlanta-based rock band Holy Beach play, they send lightning bolts of energy hurtling through the ether to either fizzle or explode. Formed early this year, Holy Beach are not making any dainty debuts — they’re making an anthemic antithesis to the serpentine soundscape of post-rock, shooting out fast from the starting line. Their first full-length record, All That Matters Is This Matter, releasing this summer and co-produced by platinum award winning engineer Jeff Leonard Jr. (who has worked with bands including Shinedown, Sleeper Agent, and Framing Hanley), is rich with the guzzled, cloudy waves of grunge interspersed with smashes of raging rock. The album marks the first official effort from Holy Beach, but its members are no strangers to the industry.
