“The Greatest Story Never Told About The Greatest Band You’ve Never Heard Of”
Weird tells the story of cult indie band The Pocket Gods since their immaculate misconception 20 years ago in a London record shop. It features the highs and lows of being in a “crap indie band” (their own words). From being discovered by late DJ John Peel and obtaining an official Guinness World Record, to playing gigs to one stoned guy and a dog in a scary pub in Huddersfield.
The film also charts frontman Mark Christopher Lee’s battle with depression and mental health issues which have plagued his life since being abused as a child. This culminated in him taking an overdose earlier this year and he’s now determined to encourage others to seek help and support for depression and mental health issues.

BTS moves up from a second-place ranking on LIVE75 to top the chart once again. Their high chart placement comes from an average of 52,176 sold tickets at two stadiums in Japan booked on the “Love Yourself Speak Yourself” tour – Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa. Both venues hosted the tour for two-night engagements in July.
The Rolling Stones repeat at No. 3 to lead the pack of rock bands with their fifth consecutive week on the chart based on sales from the “No Filter” trek, while John Mayer moves up two spots in the ranking to No. 4.
The Raconteurs earn BREAKTHROUGH status and the No. 26 ranking with sellouts at four performances on their 2019 tour, currently booked into November. Packed houses at the Armory in Minneapolis, McMenamins Edgefield Amphitheater in Troutdale, Ore., and the Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., give the band an average of 4,145 sold tickets.
The NOISE MAKER is Texas-based country artist Koe Wetzel making a 12-position leap from No. 54 last week to No. 42 based on sales from nine dates this summer in American cities. The top attendance was tracked at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas, near San Antonio, with 5,230 tickets for a sellout on July 20.
