Stoner Kings is the brainchild of band frontman, vocalist and songwriter, Michael “StarBuck” Majalahti, who is the self-proclaimed, most accomplished professional wrestler in history from Northern Europe. The band was formed in 2000, after Michael came back from a disenfranchising experience of a disheartening UK wrestling tour, looking to focus his efforts elsewhere. Michael had moved from his homeland of Canada to Finland in the summer of 1996, when he started writing music and picked up playing guitar to pass the time. Many of the songs that ended up on Stoner Kings’ debut Brimstone Blues were created around this era, between 1996-2000.

‘Crystal’ is the anthemic new single by AMA, produced by Karma Kid (Octavian). ‘Crystal’ is the second single to be taken from AMA’s debut EP ‘Screenluv’ released this summer, which sees production from Pasque (Aminé), Jarreau Vandal (Soulection) and more, and follows up previous single ‘Real’. The tracks gritty visual was shot in London, and directed by Glenn Kitson (Jimothy, Awful Records, Palace, Polo Ralph Lauren).

KRISTER LINDER ‘CONQUER’

Thirteen years after his solo debut LP ‘Songs From The Silent Years’, the elusive producer Krister Linder returns with his new audio/visual project ‘Across The Never” via his own label Ghostfriend.

The latest visual instalment from the enigmatic artist is ‘Conquer’ – soaked with glittering synth patterns and pulsating electronic rhythms. Krister explains “Inspired by my personal experience with the medicinal works of ancient shamans, ‘Conquer’ is one of my favourites on the album. On some level, this song deals with our perilous yet necessary ventures into the unknown, both as individuals and as a collective.”

Now spending her time between London and Atlanta in America, she has battled through violent gang culture, homelessness and sexual exploitation before her luck changed, leading her to work with the likes of Lil Wayne, Eminem’s producer Kon Artis and D12’s Mr Porter and was named among the Evening Standards ‘Brits who found fame in the US’. Her forthcoming single is Rich Sex and tells of her growing close to someone and sharing each other’s success and precedes an EP, Dark Candy, to be released on August 9th.

Freedust – New EP ‘Talk To Me’

Freedust first became airborne when Daniele Carmosino met singer Lisa Widmark among the creaking Hammonds and weather-beaten Moogs of an antique music equipment store in 2015. With more than just musical influences in common, the pair shared a feel for the music they wanted to create and soon began realising their vision in Daniele’s home studio. Combining their initial inspiration of Swing music of the 1930s and 40s, filtered through their love of pop, jazz, electronica and vintage gear to create a something new yet familiar, timeless. The duo were soon joined by guest singer Sarina Leah from London and the geographical influences of all three Freedusters (Italy, Sweden, UK) combine to form their singular sound .

elbow Reveal Details on Forthcoming Album ‘Giants Of All Sizes’

Following the release of ‘Dexter & Sinister’ last week [listen HERE], elbow have confirmed the title, track-listing and release date for their eighth studio album. ‘Giants of All Sizes’ was recorded at Hamburg’s Clouds Hill Studio, The Dairy in Brixton, 604 Studios in Vancouver and Blueprint Studios in Salford, with additional recording taking place at various band member’s home studios in Manchester, and will be released in North America on October 11 via Polydor/Verve Label Group.
