E-40 Scores 19th Top 10 Album on Billboard’s Rap Sales Chart with Practice Makes Paper

Says E-40, “I’ve been in a friendly competition with my brother Tech N9ne for years about us being neck and neck for having the most Top 10-selling rap albums on the Billboard charts. Some years I’m ahead and other years, he’s ahead but with my 28th solo album, Practice Makes Paper debuting at #4 on the Rap Album Sales charts, we both now hold the record for 2nd place with 19 Top 10-selling albums on Billboard, right behind Gucci Mane who has 20 Billboard top ten-selling rap albums. Congrats to Gucci! Congrats to Tech! Congrats to me!”

Oh Sees Share “Captain Loosely” Video

“As expected, the fourth single is totally unexpected: a five-minute instrumental cut matching the beauty of the instrumental “Cooling Tower” on 2017’s Orc. “Captain Loosely,” however, is a sound collage mixing ambient electronic bloops with stray saxophone notes—a uniquely somber track from a group known for face-melting riffs and forays into cartoonish vocal performances.” – Flood

Broen Share New Track “Lines”

Broen return with eyes open to new vistas on their second album Do You See The Falling Leaves?. Back in 2017, Norway’s experi-pop quintet brought exuberant reserves of intelligence, positivity and warm-spirited commonality to the world-building bustles of jazz, funk, psychedelia, electronics and hip-hop on their international debut, I <3 Art. Do You See the Falling Leaves? extends its predecessor’s vision and expands its brightly generous worldview, opening the door to mindful, invigorating and mind-bogglingly inventive ways of composing, engaging and connecting with nature, with each other and with their own potential.

Wet Tuna, the duo of Matt Valentine and PG Six, returns with a new album

“The vibes are heady already as “Goin'” wafts into the room — the kind of molasses-milked twilight track that can hit just right when the brain’s in balance and the air is still.” Raven Sings The Blues

UK ROCK BAND THE AMAZONS RELEASE NEW VIDEO FOR “25”

’25’ boasts drums inspired by the likes of Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust for Life’ and encompasses the idea frontman Matt Thomson created and penned down on the trials and tribulations of being 25. When speaking about the track, Matt said “I wrote 25 two months before I turned 25, to try to work out where I am in life. The song mimics the confusion that I constantly feel, that everyone my age feels. Are we all narcissists or are we really switched on?”

RIG TIME! Releases Official Music Video for “No Faith”

“‘NO FAITH’ is a bleak declaration about giving up and a satirical response encouraging one to forgo their community. The lyrics declare “You’ll never miss what you never loved” to invoke inner dialogue, asking oneself if they truly love the setting they are a part of .”No faith in the future, No reason to survive” is a blunt submission to ponder if what the effort you offer is worth. The song is in the eye of the beholder, to offer two paths and let the individual decide what matters to them.” – RIG TIME!

JEREMY FALL OPENS NEW RESTAURANT MIXTAPE

Mixtape, a continually evolving concept space that doubles as a restaurant and gallery, acts as the vehicle allowing Fall and a well-curated list of musicians to collaborate outside of their normal medium. While Fall is best known for his stylish and approachable take on classic American fare with a playful twist (Nighthawk, Tinfoil, Paperboy, Easy’s), Mixtape serves almost as a biography for the 29 year-old epicure and avid music, art and fashion fan, combining Tunisian, Carribean, French and Jewish flavors from his mixed cultural upbringing, presented alongside a mood-ring inspired cocktail program playing off his 90s-era childhood. With brunch, dinner and late night menus offering modern urban comfort food, Mixtape is Fall’s most elevated and imaginative presentation yet, alongside a truly unique and art-immersed experience. Mixed media visual art in the form of painting, photo and sculpture adorn the intimate Fairfax space, including a mural painted by Fall himself. Servers wear uniforms co-designed by Fall and one of the artists and of course, the dining space is soundtracked by original playlists.
