WESLEY – Entitled ‘Phantom Feeling’

WESLEY’s music explores explosive 808’s and vibrant synths, hoping to bring back 90’s pop vocals by fusing it with new trap-pop and future bass style beats. Growing up listening to everything from Earth, Wind & Fire, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey, and vintage rock’n’roll, WESLEY was inspired to create music covering a variety of different genres.

Pop/Alt-Electro Piano Project, Welsh Avenue, Gives a “Universal Feel Good Vibe” on NEW Video

He continues, “Of course, the dream is the unknown; one can only get nuances of a calling, or dream. A single person can only get so far, but with a team, or with genuine relationship, the options are infinite. The title track points to these infinite options that are contained within the pursuit of the unknown. A product of this pursuit is novelty, provided by life itself. Some of this novelty is useful, some of it is not. Some of it is good, some of it is harmful. Navigating these new things, experiences, and relationships is the key to moving forward versus stagnation. This navigation is what informs New Ways. Many parts of life will bring you down, but one must find the parts that are positive.”

THE GHOST OF PAUL REVERE RELEASES ‘FIELD NOTES VOL. 2’

The concept behind the Portland, Maine-group’s Field Notes series is that each volume is a snapshot of where the band is at that time. For guitarist/vocalist Griffin William Sherry it “brings to mind sketchbooks, traveling, and a feeling of history.” Adds banjoist/vocalist Max Davis, “The Field Notes are a collage of songs, sonically and thematically, and I think of them as bootlegs or basement tapes.”

Pollstar Live75 – BTS Returns to Chart; Ed Sheeran to Set All-Time Highest-Grossing Tour Record

Ed Sheeran is No. 1, again, joining Metallica as the only headliner to top LIVE75 four weeks in a row. He manages it based on an average ticket tally of 58,739 from 11 concerts during the final weeks of his “Divide” tour. The shows occurred at venues in seven European countries as the tour moves closer to an Aug. 26 finale in his native England.

As Pollstar confirmed earlier today, Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour will set the all-time highest-grossing tour record tonight, Friday, August 2 . With this evening’s show at Messegelände in Hannover, Germany, the 246th show of Sheeran’s nearly two-and-a-half year run, Pollstar forecasts the total gross thus far of his Divide Tour, $736.7 million, will surpass the previous record set by U2 in 2011 ($735.4 million).

Following closely on Sheeran’s heels is South Korea’s BTS, this week’s HOT SHOT debut artist, with a stadium-sized sold ticket average of 52,176 from two-show performances in two venues in Japan.

“Sheep” from A.Rob

A.Rob has the following statement regarding the track: “So many people just follow the newest trend, fall for the most popular fashion, music and overall lifestyle just because everyone’s doing it. I wrote this song as a reminder that individuality is what makes us all great. Be unique, not sheep!”

CONOR MAYNARD RETURNS WITH NEW TRACK “NOT OVER YOU”

“Not Over You” offers a cheeky take on the precarious balance between unrelenting love and bitterness following a break-up. Conor’s opening lyrics immediately set the tone: “I heard you’re sleeping with somebody new / I hope he leaves you, I hope he cheats on you / ‘Cos I’ll be right there to hold you when you cry.” That witty wordplay is set to the kind of urgently exuberant sunshine pop that Conor is renowned for. The video for “Not Over You” was directed by Conor himself. Conor also applies that fun factor to the accompanying video, which he directed. Whether he’s working at the supermarket, serving at a bar or working out at the gym, Conor’s character conjures up imaginative schemes to get one over his ex’s new partner. Yet there’s a twist-in-the-tale that he didn’t see coming.

Rel McCoy “Peace (feat. Eternia)”

Crew love is in effect once again, and Rel connects with Toronto’s Eternia like He-Man and Battlecat. With rhymes that sound like they were snatched from the pages of their memoirs, both artists get vulnerable and delve into some of the most profound and personal regions of their lives. As a listener, the melody will usher you into an ethereal dimension where the peace that surpasses all understanding reigns supreme, and the bars are still crazy. The aftershocks are hard-hitting, reflective and humbling. Make peace with the rewind button and run this back a few times.

DAMN YOUR EYES Releases Debut Full-Length, “Kill The Outside,”

Says guitarist Artie Alexander, “Everybody seems to be arguing about something these days and we feel it’s a complete waste of time. News channels compete for your anger by baiting people all the time. It’s manufactured outrage and it’s mind boggling that a huge amount of people jump in the fray and verbally duke it out over what’s ‘reported’ on the news. Our society is so ready to be offended by words and opinions, and it seems the media knows people are dying to be victims of something. ‘Through It All’ is about not buying into it. Freedom of speech is extremely important to this band but so is freedom of the mind. Allowing oneself to be unaffected by other people’s agendas or words.”

While Try and Begin cast a wide net, demonstrating UV Rays’ knack for melding complex instrumental arrangements with pop sensibilities, The Right Stuff presents a more streamlined side of the band that proudly puts their dynamic vocal melodies at the center of the action.

HOLY GROVE Release Live EP to Benefit 3-Year Old with Leukemia

In March of this year, Portland, Oregon riff-doomsters Holy Grove played a searing set at the 8th annual Ceremony of Sludge, which was professionally recorded for possible future release. Captured on audio and video using just a handful a mics and some luck, the riveting performance was perfectly in line with the band’s usual energetic delivery.

Today, they’ve elected to release it on a pay-what-you-want basis to help raise money for friends of the band Cassie and Peter, whose 3-year-old daughter, Eli Rose, was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia this past April.

The Atom Age Debut New Song/Video “Never Looking” Off Upcoming LP ‘Cry Til’ You Die,’ out August 23

“At times reminiscent of Link Wray, vintage garage rock and more contemporary acts such as the Black Keys, the Hives, and Jack White…Unpretentious rock that can send shivers of excitement down your spine like the opening riff in a Tarantino soundtrack…can teach even wise musical veterans a thing or two about how to rock ‘n’ roll.”- PopMatters

THRASH LEGEND, BOBBY GUSTAFSON, UNLEASHES – DESTRUCTION RITUAL

Themes of religion, war, Nordic culture, history and revenge combined with roughly hewn Thrash Metal provide the solid foundation upon which Bobby Gustafson built his newest Satan’s Taint album, DESTRUCTION RITUAL – out August 2nd via Megaforce Records.

“Skullkrusher II and the title track exist as a prime example of Satan’s Taint expressing a broader working knowledge of the genre as a whole than the average contemporary thrash outfit… a good work proffered by gentlemen skilled in the trade.” – DECIBEL Magazine
