*** Jon Davis solo project replaces CONAN on this show
Pollstar can officially confirm that tonight, Friday, Aug. 2, Ed Sheeran’s Divide Tour will set the all-time highest-grossing tour record. With this evening’s show at Messegelände in Hannover, Germany, the 246th show of Sheeran’s nearly two-and-a-half year run, Pollstar forecasts the total gross thus far of his Divide Tour, $736.7 million, will surpass the previous record set by U2 in 2011. U2’s 360 Tour’s all-time record of $735.4 million, set on July 30, 2011, was a towering accomplishment many thought would never be broken.
“I just found out the Divide Tour is set to be the highest-grossing tour of all time — this is amazing,” said Sheeran in a statement. “I feel very lucky to have experienced all of the wonderful countries and crowds over the past 2 ½ years. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made it possible.”

Chicago artist tobi lou dropped his new mixtape Live on Ice. Having dropped 3 critically and fan-acclaimed projects in 2018 that have all been 7 tracks or less, this 21-track mixtape is his most extensive work to date. The project fully immerses you in the cinematic universe he’s so carefully crafted through incredible videos, like the first track/video from the album “Waterboy”. tobi says, “I felt like my entire life I’ve been waiting for whatever moment this is. I’m finally having an awakening and seizing my moment by putting out my first real offering and saying, ‘OK, I’m ready – judge me'”.
It’s been three years since Joseph Arthur has released a brand-new solo album, and with the upcoming release of Come Back World (October 11th) he’s crafted his most personal and powerful album to date.
“Belladonna” was written at a really pivotal time in the making of this record. We had already finished “Flowers” when we met Kieron Menzies and Dean Reid (who co-wrote and produced) but “Belladonna” is what really solidified the floral bit, crushed psychedelic desert-y vibe of the record in my mind. It sort of bridges the gap between the warm tracks like “Bad To Worse” and the more abrasive tracks from Frenchtown like “Endless Pain/Endless Joy.”
Including previously released tracks “Bags,” “Closer To You,” and “Sofia,” this impeccable debut features 8 additional tracks, written by Clairo and co-produced by Rostam. The album also features special guest Danielle Haim on various tracks.

“I started out with all the huge eighties turn up the gain type bands at first which really created the path to discovering my love for playing music. Once I developed to writing and really focusing on the artistry, I found myself falling in love with the songwriting side of music rather than specific genres or groups – anything Mayer touches, Martin Johnson, Alex Gas

On Saturday August 17th, it doesn’t appear that there will be a Woodstock 50 celebration put together by organizer Michael Lang. However, several of the attendees of the original Woodstock Festival – and their children – have decided to take matters into their own hands; bringing peace love and music back to NY by staging a special tribute to the 50th Anniversary of the event with a concert comprised of some of the top up and coming acts from the New York area – happening at the Michael Kudish Natural History Preserve, 2515 Tower Mountain Rd in Stamford, NY – about an hour and a half from where the original fest took place.
