For people that never met a hit they ever liked, this is music right up your alley and right in the pocket. Sure to clear a room from non believers, why would you want them around you anyway? Killer stuff.” – Chris Spector, Midwest Records

“smoky” (NPR) Molly Burch ‘Ballads’ 7″ release today + US tour begins
Today Texan chanteuse Molly Burch, compared to Golden Era Hollywood starlets like Judy Garland and Loretta Young (FADER) releases her new 7” entitled Ballads via Captured Tracks. This is her first release since her wildly successful 2018 album, First Flower. Burch explains, “A-Side ‘Only One’ was recorded at the same time as First Flower, but it didn’t quite make sense on the album. Both this and the B-side ‘Your Party’ fit together in a nice way, I think. I decided to call the 7” Ballads as an homage to the powerful female vocalists I idolized growing up. Seems sort of classic. Both songs really embody what I love to do – sing with emotion, and drama, and romance, taking as much time as I need.”
