Today, Foals confirm the release of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 2 via Warner Records on October 18th. The release completes the artistic statement and striking state-of-the-world-address of Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1, a record which is shortlisted for the prestigious, 2019 Mercury Prize. “Part two is a heavier listen, the guitars are more emphasized and there’s some big riffs on it,” explained lead singer and guitarist Yannis Philippakis in an interview with NME. “It’s a rock record and it definitely carries on the narrative from part one. Part one ended with a lot of fire and destructive imagery, part two is trying to respond to that: how you can continue in the wreckage and through the scorched earth? We’re just excited for people to hear it because it completes the journey of what we’ve made over the last year-and-a-half.”

Childhood friends Nechie and Gunna have combined efforts for a cinematic music video for track “Pray To The Lord.” The emotional track is off Nechie’s debut effort SSN: Southside Nechie (The Full Story) — executive produced by Young Thug — and paints a picture of what life is like growing up in a tumultuous community in the cosmopolitan city of Atlanta, GA.


The award-winning Muddy Roots Music Festival has announced its final lineup, a genre-defying list that will make punk, metal, roots music, and even some hip-hop fans squeal in unified delight. This year’s event, which will take place from August 30th to September 1st in Cookeville, Tennessee, boasts sets from almost 80 bands, including appearances from MC50, the new incarnation of Wayne Kramer’s MC5, and GZA of Wu-Tang Clan fame who will perform with a live band. The MC50 band includes Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), Brendan Canty (Fugazi), Billy Gould (Faith No More), and Marcus Durant (Zen Guerilla). GZA’s backing band is led by Ramsey Jones, older brother of the late ODB of the Wu-Tang Clan. John Garcia and Nick Oliveri, both formerly of KYUSS will appear with their respective new projects, along with legendary California punk band Face to Face, pioneering funky ska-punk outfit Fishbone, alt-country outlaws like Sarah Shook & The Disarmers and Mike and The Moonpies, and roots stalwarts like Possessed By Paul James and The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.

Queer Los Angeles Indie Rock Artist BABY BULLDOG Releases “Work On Things”

“I wrote Work On Things on a day off from tour. I was home and didn’t wanna leave. It was the first song I wrote as Baby Bulldog because when I finished it everything clicked, I had discovered my sound. It was the beginning of Baby Bulldog. I wrote and produced it in my apt in Silver Lake and the next day I left to continue to tour with Coast Modern. I also really do have a dope down pillow and I love it so much.”


Following the release of his “Gotta Get The Muney” video last month and the Who Am I: Reloaded mixtape earlier this year, rapper Kevo Muney (a.k.a. Baby GOAT) is back again, dropping “Hurtin” via World Star. With co-signs from Tay Keith, BlocBoy JB, Kevin Gates, Gunna and more and his vow to “bring soul back to rap,” the 18-year-old emcee has no plans of slowing down any time soon.
