The Goa Express release their urgent new single ‘The Day’ on Friday the 5th of July. Recorded at Champ Zone with Nathan Saoudi (Fat White Family), it rattles with an unstoppable new wave rhythm, shudders with abrasive guitars and with vocals that sneer with the spirit of seizing the day while everything is falling apart around you, their sound may rustle with the ghosts of acts like The Stooges, Psychedelic Furs and contemporaries like Shame, but the Goa Express possesses youthful energy, northern spite and ever-evolving sound all of their own. The band’s frontman James Douglas Clarke says ‘The new tracks are about moving out to university and getting caught for doing shit whilst there and also about the fake, social media platform of our society, lick arses and how everybody wants to pretend that they’re friends.’

‘The Times Are Tired’ opens with airy, organic guitar playing that slowly melts into a pool of ambient strings and delicately brushed drums. The ability of the artist as a composer is on full display as he layers multiple string instruments to construct a warm and contemplative arrangement that rolls along effortlessly. The sound of a piano slowly comes to the fore and, as the track draws to a close, it cradles the listener back into silence, ringing out alongside the final delicate guitar pickings.
Los Angeles blues-punk band DANTE HH are back, drawing on their signature energetic style to create a deep, upbeat and loud tribute to the late Motörhead vocalist Lemmy. With heavy riffs and pounding drums, “Motörhound” is a rock’n’roll rabble-rouser, a track which you can headbang or dance to. The lyrics borrow several classic verses from the Motörhead catalog, adding them up to aptly describe the iconic musician the tribute is dedicated to.

Rain Over St. Ambrose releases “Drop”…new single and lyric video streaming now!
The latest stand-alone track from Rain Over St. Ambrose is a zoomed-out contemplation of existential context that effectively straddles two worlds. Like a hesitant step towards the dance floor, the song moves between bending leads and booming drum rolls before a descending bass line leads the way to a cavernous half-time chorus rife with choral-esque backup vocals and a raspy reflection on rock n’ roll in the era of pop dominance. Culminating with a delicate piano outro and a gentle vocal delivery, the song emphasizes an attentive sense of what could have been in the face of what is.

Kills Birds unveil “Jesus Did,” Los Angeles-based band releases new song from debut LP
“Jesus Did is a song about my frustrations with the LA scene. When I moved here I felt very alone. I was constantly surrounded by people who were difficult to connect with. Individuals who had the luxury of never having to fight for anything, who were born with all the privilege in the world. They all walk around the clubs and bars like gods with nothing to preach. But though I struggle to connect with them, I also wish I could be exactly like them. I think things would be easier.” – Nina Ljeti lead singer Kills Birds
“We’re in an era where everyone can voice their opinion and things can become polarized very quickly as we get caught up in conflict. “Paper Cuts” speaks to meeting somewhere in the middle with compassion and cooperation in order to move forward as humanity.”
Christine Renner – “Tonight”
Her songs are filled with deep emotions, poetic imagery, romantic story telling, triumph and tragedy with an undercurrent of hope that runs the spectrum of human experience. Sometimes joyful and playful, sometimes lost and melancholy, but never monotonous or boring.
