yeule, born Nat Ćmiel, announces signing to Bayonet Records and shares a new video for her single ‘Pretty Bones’. yeule’s music is complex, intuitive, and deeply personal. She creates through a launchpad, keyboard, and microphone as she morphs her original cinematic classical compositions into electronica. As a practising visual artist, her works emanate her deep connection to the process of mark making, both visually and sonically, enveloping us into a world all her own.
‘Pretty Bones,’ directed by Joy Song, is a visual as compelling as its sonic counterpart. The video is a provocative and surreal passage through time that montages time lapses of decay; from a rotting lavish feast to macro images of mould spores and bio-luminescent fungi. It is in part a metaphor, comparing different planes of existence living vs. rotting to digital created personas vs. reality.
