Light Organ – ‘Pekoe Cat – Jungle Cop’

“I have a very vague memory of toddler me playing some game on NES where a guy with a motorcycle helmet goes around shooting up the city. That’s what inspired the song. I have no idea how accurate those memories are or if that game even exists. And I think I should be a little concerned if that’s the kind of thing I consider to me a fond memory. Either way, it’s the closest I’ve ever come to achieving the sound I was going for.”

Bonnie Doon release “Panty Twister” music video / summer tour dates

“We wanted to make a music video that showcased the opulence of being on a boat like in 90s rap videos we love and well… anything to do with sailing culture. Although, as a punk band, we are more like the underwater monstars than boat kweens; it was a really fun video to film, except when I got sea sick and was still eating shrimp in a shark suit with no railing to hold onto. The song is about getting your bathing suit all twisted from riding waterslides and this is our interpretation – see in it what you like! Some people say it is all a metaphor for cunnilingus.” – Director/Editor & Bassist Les666

BRKN LOVE Premiere “Shot Down” Video At Substream

“When we came up with idea to shoot a video like this, we wanted to it to reflect the sound of the song, which is raw and unfiltered,” Benlolo told Substream. “We didn’t need anything complicated — just a great view of us doing what we do in this sort of mystical ether. ‘Shot Down’ is two and a half minutes of non-stop bulldozing. It was one of the last songs written for our record. I wanted something that crushed from the minute it started to the second it stopped. I’m happy to say that I think we achieved just that. Having this as the initial view into the BRKN LOVE universe is very exciting and important to us. We hope you enjoy and keep on rocking.”

The track premiered on Punk News where the band shared, “This song is about questioning the foundation of a relationship that’s become very important to you without you even realizing it was happening. There’s all this time and energy invested in this person and in trying to show them who you are, and all of a sudden you’re not sure either of you is doing the other any favors by continuing to believe that’s an outcome that’s possible in this context.”
