Dance rockers Harper and the Moths’ debut album is a glitter bomb of catchy tracks

What began as a remote recording project between friends in early 2013 has morphed into the Phoenix-based dance rock band Harper and the Moths. On July 5th, the quartet will release their debut album Dark Enough To Dance, 12 tracks that deliver glittery, all-night anthems with infusions of new-wave and post punk.

Vocalist Harper Lines and his “Moths” (who just so happen to have an affinity for staying up late), began work on the album after Lines went through the downward spiral of a serious relationship ending. When things got ugly, the fallout became his inspiration, and his outlet was music. The first single “Your Love” was written to provide closure to anyone who is at the end of a relationship, struggling to see their inner light.

“I wrote a lot on this project about the human condition of wanting somebody to share your life with. After failed relationships, Its ’s something I have craved. At times this can lead to disappointment. This song is about a series of failures in trying to find the the right person and that period in between each one, where you have to try and get them out of your system and move on with your journey. These songs are designed to make people feel they are not alone in their search for happy. “You Are Not Alone” will be a common theme.

SUR Releases Video For “Only Road” Today

Northern California bred musician/producer Zack Arnett of SUR releases the video for “Only Road” today. The video was directed by Meeno and shot on the road as Arnett headed to Lake Buena Vista, CA for his performance at the Lighting In A Bottle Festival last month. “Only Road” was released in May on Interscope Records and was written by Zack Arnett and Jeff Gitty who also took on producer duties with additional production by Arnett.
