Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, demonic death metal entity PATHETIC has been raising the corpses and disturbing the mortals since 2015. To date, the group has 2 EPs and 1 split (w/ Peruvian impious black/death army Putrid) under their belt. Having performed alongside established bands such as Aneglcorpse and Ares Kingdom, the Canadian 3-piece has toured extensively throughout North America, primarily in Western Canada, Quebec, Ontario, and the pacific northwest United States.

Both intimate and expansive, ‘Hurt Me’ is awash with droning synths, razored guitar and emotive lyricism, channelling the peculiar ache that follows lost love. In Dream Dali’s own words, “Hurt Me explores the feelings and emotions of allowing someone into your most vulnerable place and coming out of it with some scars. We put up walls when we are hurt and moving forward from those dark places can be challenging. ‘Hurt Me’ is about acknowledging the pain of someone ripping at your insides and moving forward.” he says.

Shaping a truly vast and cinematic soundscape with their blend of alt-rock, electronica and trip-hop, ‘Lupine’ sees haunting harmonies effervesce around brutal guitar tones and shimmering synth lines. Initially striking with its raw digital crunch, this dissolves effortlessly to reveal a lush final quarter full of bright optimistic tones. “I was inspired by a doco I watched which delved deep into the territorial nature of wolves. It raised themes around belonging and entrapment, freedom and repression – which I explore lyrically in the track,” singer/keyboardist Aleesha Dibbs explains.

US symphonic metal Beyond Forgiveness have released the first full official video taken from their upcoming album Live To Tell The Story. The track is called Echoes and is about how music can transcend time and encompasses all of human experience. The group have also confirmed the release date of Live To Tell The Story which will be available on September 23rd worldwide via Sliptrick Records.

The Goa Express release their urgent new single ‘The Day’ on Friday the 5th of July. The band’s frontman James Douglas Clarke says ‘The new tracks are about moving out to university and getting caught for doing shit whilst there and also about the fake, social media platform of our society, lick arses and how everybody wants to pretend that they’re friends.’

Yorkshire’s hotly tipped trio Bang Bang Romeo release official video for their new single ‘What’s Up’. The track is a cover of the 90’s anthem penned by iconic fellow LGBTQ songwriter Linda Perry and made famous by her band 4 Non Blondes. Perry has also penned hits for Gwen Stefani, Adele and P!nk, – the latter whom Bang Bang Romeo will join on her sold-out stadium tour which starts June 16th.

Gazel releases spellbinding new single ‘Rain Is Coming’
Genre-blending British/Turkish songwriter and producer Gazel has released her new single, ‘Rain Is Coming’, the latest track to be taken from her upcoming debut album Gazel’s Book Of Souls, out this October.
Swelling and emotive, ‘Rain Is Coming’ opens to a flowing synth underpinning traditional instrumentation, which gradually builds through diaphanous melodies into an electrifying crescendo of layered vocals and driving polyrhythms. “‘Rain Is Coming’ is about the double-bind of being required to grow spontaneously from childhood into acceptable adulthood,” explains Gazel.
