Quicksilver Daydream has announced their new LP Fly Oblivion and shared the track “Warmth Of Other Suns” on Glide Magazine.
“One of the last songs written before heading into the studio, ‘Warmth of Other Suns’ bloomed out of a jam during some downtime at our rehearsal space,” says the band. “With a couple of weeks to go, we wanted to create a strong counterpoint to some of the softer moments on the album. The menacing pulse Alex laid down on the Mellotron, put us on the right track. After recording the song live at Seaside Lounge, our producer Jonathan Schenke took the reigns; manipulating the sounds further via his modular synthesizer. This combination of live performance energy and studio wizardry became a hallmark of the album.”

“I had gone to Italy by myself and wrote it in a small B&B room by the Como Lake. I guess the warm Italian summer air influenced the laid-back feeling of the song,” Nidam says of the track. “I wanted the rhythm section to have this heavy, dark, almost hip-hop-like groove to back up the clean, airy guitars and the smooth vocal melodies.”
Italian Electro-Rock Duo SOAWARE Bring Back 80s Synth and 90s grunge
Soaware’s founders and central songwriters, Damiano Bessi and Emanuele Grazioli, bring groundbreaking alternative rock from Italy to the rest of the world. They first met in 1999 while playing in the band Mad Cobol, later splitting to perform with separate groups. In 2015, the two reunited to form Soaware, retreating to a basement studio to write new music. The fruits of Soaware’s three-year (2015-2018) labor have culminated in their forthcoming self-titled album. Soaware will include 11 tracks which feature the pair on songwriting, instrumentals, and production. Focusing on sheer emotions rather than life experiences, Soaware draw upon the spirits of 90s grunge and 80s synth pop to create dark atmospheres with electronic rock/metal edges.
