Los Angeles-based producer Daniel Graves has been turning heads with his addictive industrial pop project, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, for nearly two decades. Since forming in 2000, Graves has released five full-length albums, numerous singles and music videos, all the while reinventing what it means to be a dark electro artist. Blending industrial, pop, goth, and everything in between, AESTHETIC PERFECTION defies definitions in a world that demands them.

Woodstock Book By Mike Greenblatt

The year was 1969. Richard Nixon was in the White House. Neil Armstrong was on the Moon. And revolution was in the air. In that backdrop, 500,000 young people gathered on a mid-August weekend in upstate New York for the promise of three days of peace and music. What they experienced at the Woodstock Music and Art Fair was something far greater.

Celebrating “the greatest peaceful event in history,” Woodstock 50th Anniversary: Back to Yasgur’s Farm (Krause Publications) offers a dazzling and compelling front-row seat to the most important concert in rock history, an implausible happening filled with trials and triumphs that defined a generation.

BLUE OCTOBER Documentary Trailer “Get Back Up” Shows Band’s Struggle with Alcohol/Drugs and Ultimate Redemption

It’s an ultimatum that no addict wants to hear, especially not a platinum-selling rock star like Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October. But that’s exactly what his wife Sarah said to him, as seen in the powerful and riveting new trailer for the upcoming music documentary GET BACK UP. While the ultimatum is intended to be focused on his immediate family unit, this demand of finality can be seen as a universal plea that includes his band, management and ultimately his fans, as witnessed in powerful and gripping feature-length film as directed by acclaimed Emmy-winning director Norry Niven (Dexter, Chasing Shakespeare, American Idol).

Nessly Teams with Lil Keed & Lil Yachty for A High Thread Count Rap Track

Flashing mutated auto-tuned hooks and flex-heavy lyricism, Nessly is the next step in the evolution of melodic ATL trap. Recruiting two fellow offbeat ATLiens for a lush new banger, Nessly shares “Foreign Sheets,” his latest single. Melding thudding 808s, delicate guitars, and entrancingly tuneful synths, the instrumental for “Foreign Sheets” is the ideal canvas for Nessly, as he experiments with halting flows and cadences and paints a picture of his life of luxury: “Louis V bag full of…weed/Took the doors off of the…Jeep.” The song boasts memorable guest appearances from Lil Keed and Lil Yachty, who demonstrate their unique skillsets in their cameos: Keed channels his mentor Young Thug with his high-pitched and infectious yelps and Yachty seamlessly switches between rapidfire rhymes and languid melody.

Smokepurpp Heads to Memphis to Rage with NLE Choppa in the “Double” Video

With an irrepressible, manic energy and an ear for lyrical witticisms, Smokepurpp’s talent speaks for itself. Heading to the home of Stax Records to make some musical history of his own, Purpp mobs in Memphis in “Double,” his latest video. Produced by Tony Seltzer, “Double” is a minimalist slapper, complete with warped cowbell, underwater synths, and cracking snares–a backdrop on which Purpp paints his sex-crazed bars: “I just want a side b*tch, I don’t want no drama (Drama)/I know that’s yo’ main b*tch, you can meet her mama.” In the video, Purpp takes over the block with Memphis’s teenaged sensation NLE Choppa, who menaces with breakneck bars and sing-songy cadences. Intercut with flashy camera effects and pasted-in cameos from famous figures, the duo gather a crew to storm a local eatery and show off their wild dance moves–even Obama gets down to Smokepurpp.
