Philadelphia’s Slaughter Beach, Dog – which began as the solo project of Jake Ewald (Modern Baseball) but has grown into a band with the addition of bassist Ian Farmer (Modern Baseball), Nick Harris (All Dogs) and Zack Robbins (Superheaven) – announced a new record today, titled Safe And Also No Fear. Devendra Banhart Announces Fall North American Tour
Devendra Banhart announces a twenty-three city North American tour for autumn 2019, beginning October 15 in Ventura, CA and continuing through December 8 in Philadelphia, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, Brooklyn, and Washington, DC, among others (full schedule below). Sacred Paws kick off Run Around the Sun’s release week with new song and music video
Rachel Aggs and Eilidh Rodgers of Glasgow’s Sacred Paws describe their latest single from Run Around the Sun best: “‘Almost It’ is about how you’re always striving towards something, but you often don’t notice the things you’ve achieved or the fun you’ve had along the way. Sunset Sons today release a new single, ‘Problems’, produced by long-time collaborator Catherine Marks (Foals, The Big Moon). The first new music from the band since ‘The River’ EP in summer 2018 (which has since clocked over 2 million streams online), the new track arrives just ahead of a run of 4 UK underplay shows, including London’s The Camden Assembly on June 26, 2019. Her’s memorial event & poignant, posthumous video of ‘She Needs Him’
Friends and family of Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading, known as the band Her’s, have arranged a memorial event in their honour.
‘Friends of Her’s’, will take place on Sunday 16th June at The Bombed Out Church in Liverpool. The event will include DJ sets from the likes of The Orielles, Happyness, Brad Stank and Pizzagirl; an exhibition from official band photographers; and a presentation of the band’s artwork. In addition, there will be exclusive video screenings, street food and bars.
Curbi Drops Electro House Bomb “Flip It”
The follow up to last year’s Dim Mak release “Whip It,” Curbi shakes things up on his latest work “Flip it.” The single arrives after a jam-packed spring for the UK-based artist. In March, Curbi arrived stateside for several lives performances, including a few gigs as direct support for Oliver Heldens. Shortly after, he made his first ever appearances at Miami Music Week and supported Steve Aoki at Story. The levels were riding high and that same week Tchami dropped Curbi’s single “Redeem” on the Ultra Music Festival mainstage. Most recently, the track received support from Martin Garrix at EDC.
