PUSSY RIOT MEMBER NIKA NIKULSHINA ARRESTED IN MOSCOW – AGAIN!

Pussy Riot’s member Nika Nikulshina is arrested in Moscow – for no reason – and this is the second time in one month she’s been detained. This time it’s even worse: being detained already for 7 hours, she’s going to spend the night at the police department. Tomorrow starts a period of days-off in Russia, so from May 9-12 it would be possible that Nika will spend these days in detention as well.

Police officers, 10 of them, arrested Nika at the home of her friends. They also arrested four of Nika’s friends who were in the house. The officers explained that Nika was needed for questioning because “a group of young people have damaged a piece of government property” – which is yet another absurd claim by the police without any official accusations filed.

Painted into Things – ‘Something Beautiful Won’t Come Out’

“Something Beautiful Won’t Come” is a song about how we’re seduced into not being ourselves for the demands of the tribe. When we remove the layers and listen, we get back to our essence.

Quelle Chris – WYRM (New VIdeo)

“So many of my memories are collections of collages from home videos, photo books and boxes of developed pictures. The lucky few who have escaped the fate of moments lost in disposable cameras. VHS and mini cam tapes. Orphans of history without a home. This particular memory was captured on a Canon 814XL camera and shot with Kodak Super8. Through the lens of Grégoire Verbeke on a lovely afternoon in Brussels. A moment trapped in time. Ageless. Even as we fade. Will you remember?” -Quelle Chris

Generationals New Track/New LP, Out 7/19 Via Polyvinyl

From their inception Generationals have existed at the convergence of classic style and contemporary technique. Students of an analog school actualized in a digital medium, Grant Widmer and Ted Joyner have always felt most comfortable reveling in this juxtaposition. Grounded in a catalog of infectious pop hooks that feel both familiar and radically new all at once, Generationals mastered their distinct voice as a means to widen the path before them.

PASTEL GHOST releases new album ‘Ethereality’

While critics may struggle to define PASTEL GHOST’s music with tidy descriptors like witch-rave or blog-house, it’s evident that PASTEL GHOST is creating sounds that take
flight beyond any genre boundaries. On her debut album ABYSS, the Austin-based artist laces elements of dream-pop, post-punk, and electronica to create sounds that can only be described as otherworldly. Ethereal vocals glide over chilly synth hooks and thumping drum beats, creating tracks so infectious, they can lure even the most brooding shoegazers onto the dance floor. By tying her love of hazy, anime visuals to her sound, her songs have an instant cinematic feel to them — each track evokes dreamy imagery that is a significant component to PASTEL GHOST.

Mike Adams At His Honest Weight shares new lyric video for 70s A.M. Gold-inspired “Wonderful To Love”

Regarding the song Mike Adams stated “My friend Sarah is a counselor and I’ve heard her suggest an exercise where you imagine holding your childhood self to the same critical standards that you force upon yourself today. It’s a hilarious contrast, and it can really let you off the hook emotionally, sometimes. I’m being pretty hard on myself with this song, but I hope that pairing it with these old home movies that my parents recently rediscovered will take the edge off a little bit. For me, it’s a nice reminder that I’m a collection of habits, and not a manufactured home.”
