McKenna Faith – 2018 Year in Review

“I grew up listening to Janis Joplin and Faith Hill’s versions of “Piece of My Heart” and I always have so much fun performing it at my shows! So, I decided to get in the studio and record my own take.”

Artist: Klef Mikaydo – Track: ‘Purple Clouds’

Born on June 12th in Los Angeles, California, Klef Mikaydo knew at an early age that his passion was music. Throughout his early childhood, he was glued to the radio and recited his favorite artist’s rhymes such as “Snoop Dogg”, “2Pac”, “Usher”, “R.Kelly” and “Dr. Dre”. By the age of 9, he started to fall in love with the idea of composing music and bringing his visions to life. In his middle school years, Klef Mikaydo entered the school band where he learned to play the tenor saxophone and trombone and became one of the standout students and this is where he started to elevate his talents to the next level.

Blowfuse / New Single ‘Angry John’ & Album Preorder

“Angry John” is the second single from the upcoming Blowfuse album ‘Daily Ritual’, coming out on February 8th.

What you will hear is an ‘old school’ punk rock song from head to toe. Frenetic rhythmic guitars, ‘in your face’ drum beats, a catchy melodic chorus & Oscar’s restless voice are the ingredients for this song that deals with anxiety. Not only does it criticize the obsession of people for talking too much and throwing their problems to others, but also the love for simply being angry with life and the anxiety that provokes.

New release: US Indie Pop band Chateau Chateau – Evidence (single)

Chateau Chateau was birthed from the desert flora and jagged hills of Tucson, Arizona in the beginning of 2018. The formation of the seven band members began in the cold, dark caverns of an aerospace hanger with nothing but an audience of semi-casual and passerby dunkards making their way to the next door brewhouse. In the following months of springtime the band began forming their sound. What was once a loose, rocky, garage-pop four-piece would eventually become a blooming, bouncy, glittery troupe of seven with an equally tightened and raw sound.

Hard Rockers BAD BONES Raise The Stakes With ‘High Rollers’

Video Premiere – Hunnid “You Ain’t Gang”

The video was shot on the streets of London, capturing some of their incredible graffiti and a biker gang. Even while in London though, I made sure to keep it Chicago. It was directed by the artistic AMS at the Review Page.

Chicago House Meets Frankie Knuckles As ‘Uncle Of House’ Matt Warren Releases Genre-Defining Nu-House Classic

There are no two ways about it – Matt Warren was there at the very beginnings of the Chicago House movement in the 1980s and without his influence, the world of dance music would look very different. A generation after the likes of “Bang the Box” and “Rock the Nation” sent the club scene into raptures, Matt Warren releases his first full-length album, one which captures both the raw intensity of his early innovative work and his insistence on using REAL musicians on his tracks. The end result is the past, present and future of house music from one of its grandmasters – welcome to Nu-House.
