Shorelines announce Summer 2019 tour dates

The song is inspired by Napoleon’s exile to the island of St. Helena. Decades ago, in a history class in Siberia, Russia (Lead Singer-Aleksey’s native home). Aleksey was captivated by Napoleon and his legacy. He fantasized about what it would be like to be exiled to an island, let alone St. Helena-which he had no idea even existed. These past mental images of Napoleon’s exile on the island inspired him to create the mystical landscape in the form of a song. Hence, “St. Helena” was born.
