The track, which Scharff self-produced and provided a majority of instruments and vocals, is available now on all digital platforms.
“I approached this whole song like vintage Zeppelin guitar riffs meets EDM and dubstep solo chops, meets Kanye, meets NIN,” says Scharff. “High intensity, gritty, twists and turns the whole way. I let this song be the weirdest and craziest of the upcoming albums. At some point, when the majority of the song was written I named it ‘Robert Paulson’ based on one of my favorite movies, Fight Club. There was something about the energy and intensity of the song that just gave me the Fight Club vibe.”

decker. explains: “‘Awake’ is a song about remembering our true nature—as spirit, Creation, love—the very innocent way we all come into this world. So much of my journey, and I think where healing takes place, is holding space with the present moment. Really being with it. The video embodies that; to hold space with these beautiful people, look in their eyes and then, hopefully, to look inward and find even the slightest touch more of compassion for ourselves and the world around us.”
