Following the release of his bewitching debut EP, ‘Drain’, back in June 2017, young Miami producer Marks is back with first full-length beat-tape, ‘Crush’.

Comprised of 10 tracks that blend the joyous and sickly-sweet with the totally dystopian, ‘Crush’ spotlights Marks’ maturing, idiosyncratic sound, drawing from the rap beats of his home city, but also zeroing in on its own, gloomy, flickering aesthetic – a facet of his beat-making that first caught Coyote’s attention back in 2015.

“Options” showcases the trio’s hypnotic hybrid of hip-hop, and R&B. It shows a diversity of sound from sharp rhymes and catchy chants with an unpredictable beat to a hash-tag-able hook. Meanwhile, the hazy and rowdy music video brings the lyrics to life as Minus Gravity wild out with a bevy of ladies and overflowing champagne.

“Correct” is the next track to be shared from Language before it’s official release. Within its fierce 4 minutes, MNEK manages to bottle his feelings about the industry pressure that is loaded on his shoulders with his debut album and twist it into a hard-hitting pop explosion, laden with as much sass and charisma as we’ve come to expect from him. And the video, directed by MNEK himself and Luke Biggins is, of course, totally extra – a satirical yet playful glossy-glimpse inside the mind of a man who’s been in the center of the pop world since he was 14, looking and sounding more fabulously commanding than ever.

Felicia Douglass of Ava Luna, who stars in the video, shares: “Childish features multiple facets of self. It takes you through self-doubt counteracted by buoyant confidence and back down again. I’m not really an album guy, and the kind of music I make lends itself more to singles, so I wanted to make sure listening to this record wasn’t a chore. These are two songs we pulled from the EP and when we put together the best 10 songs these were 11 and 12. But they aren’t throwaways, they’re good songs and we wanted people to hear them. So… they are.”

New Study: U.S. Consumers Fear Scams When Purchasing Concert Tickets

Purchasing concert tickets can be a costly, frustrating and dangerous process due to rampant fraud, hidden fees, scalping and sky-high secondary market resale prices. To examine this issue in depth, Aventus, an open-source blockchain ticketing platform, commissioned a consumer survey and found many aspects of the online ticket purchasing process are discouraging potential concert attendees from going to more events.

Many concert-goers fear they will be scammed when purchasing tickets. Aventus found that nearly two-thirds of respondents are worried about buying counterfeit tickets or getting scammed when they purchase tickets, and not without reason: 12% of respondents have purchased a concert ticket that turned out to be a scam. The study found that men were nearly 2.5 times more likely to be scammed than women. Of respondents who fell victim to a scam, 54% said it affected their perception of the artist negatively, despite the fact that artists rarely have any control over ticket prices and have zero control over concert attendees getting scammed.
