New Joyce Manor Video “Think I’m Still in Love With You”
Joyce Manor have premiered a new song and video titled “Think I’m Still In Love With You.” The track is set to appear on their forthcoming album Million Dollars to Kill Me, due out on September 21.
With its thrashing guitar work and swaying rhythms, “Think I’m Still In Love With You” digs deep into the chasm between pleasant memory and unpleasant present. Driven by Joyce Manor’s unshakeable melodies, the song finds guitarist/vocalist Barry Johnson delivering his straight-from-the-heart and hard-hitting lyrics (“Look at me now, there’s nothing else left to break”).

A nod to BBC Radio 1 legend John Peel, arbiter of all things underground, Peel Dream Magazine is highly evocative of a certain strain of independent music. Gold Star — a.k.a LA-based Marlon Rabenreither — today premiered new song “Dani’s In Love” with a Consequence of Sound Origins feature in which he shares the track’s emotional backstory: “The Dani in ‘Dani’s In Love’ refers to my girlfriend. It’s about a dark period in my life when we were together, and one night specifically where she quite literally saved my life. The song is a fairly autobiographical run down of that time. She’s helped me in more ways than she will ever know.”
