Time, the Valuator Streams New Single “How Fleeting”
From the very first haunting notes of the song, where vocalist Phil begs for fans to not hold him back, to the very powerful ending, listeners cannot help but feel as if they too, are part of the journey the band has embarked on, also thanks to the apt video that accompanies the track. From the first single that saw the birth of the group, “Elusive Reasons” to the very last, vocally driven and instrumentally dominating single “In Control”, the band has grown and learned a lot, and they urge their fans to heed their requests, and follow into their footsteps, alongside them.
Transgender Artists DreamStates ask: ‘What’s “Normal” anyway?’
Merriam-Webster defines the word ‘normal’ as ‘conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern.’ It’s such an abstract definition of something that’s perceived as so rigid, that it makes the challenge of actually defining the word all the more amusing.
“What’s normal anyway?” ask Akron, Ohio singer/songwriter duo DreamStates in their new single “Normal” — available now. “As we say in the song, you’re more than any stereotype.”
DreamStates is equal parts the creative handiwork of Madeline Eckhart and Natalie Grace Martin. While they previously honed harmonies working together in Natalie’s live ensemble during her “She/Her/Hers Tour” — including a critically acclaimed performance at Akron’s inaugural Pride Festival last year — they quickly learned a newly-inspired iteration of working together could be so much more than just a band.
ÅRABROT: Norwegian Noise Rock Unit To Release Who Do You Love Full-Length Via Pelagic Records September 7th

BLACK BOX WARNING : Cvlt Nation premiere NSFW video for “5 mg”
Released in the spring of 2018, “Attendre La Mort” (translate as “Waiting For Death”) is the debut album from Paris-based sludge metal trio BLACK BOX WARNING. With no preamble, the band delivers a mature and bleak-as-hell epitaph, crushing even the the most connaisseur ears on their sonic path. This corrosive and downtrodden 5-track already plays in premiere sludge league, recalling devastatingly heavy, sulfur-smelling acts such as Crowbar, Primitive Man or Old Man Gloom. No redemption, only death.
Scent share “Deep Springs” video from new EP out Friday on Wichita
“As per my other films, I was keen on a dream-like vibe to run through this video. When I first listened to the song I knew shooting on infrared (which I’ve always wanted to do) would fit perfectly. I love how Tom’s hair went blue and everyone looks like ghosts. As the video reaches its ‘climax’ towards the end, I wanted the aesthetic and performances to be as mad and surreal as possible and was 100% set on getting a sheep or two to feature! Tom and Julien were ace on set and the most photogenic people I’ve ever worked with. We slaved in the boiling heat for this video, thank you for watching!”
‘NO ONE DEFEATS US,’ THE DEBUT ALBUM FROM DREAMS, SET FOR SEPTEMBER 14 RELEASE
“No One Defeats Us” was recorded at the iconic Henson Studios and at various key studio stop-offs during their 15-year-long song-writing odyssey. “The single says lyrically what our goal is, it’s a journey into our vision of the future,” Johns explains. “We wanted to create a gang and have that song as our mantra.” “Silence,” the last song recorded for the album, was written by the duo in response to the violence that unfolded in Charlottesville in August 2017. Both tracks went on to receive the remix magic touch from the legendary Grandmaster Flash, to spectacular effect.

Metric’s new song “Dressed to Suppress”
“Lyrically, the song explores the maze of conflicts we encounter in our attempts at finding and holding onto love; the absurd mating rituals we routinely perform; and the vast divide between the desires our appearances can imply and the way we actually feel inside,” explains lead singer Emily Haines. “Sonically, it’s one of the most intense songs on the album. We’re already playing it live and it’s getting stronger every night. The contrast between the delicate, dreamy opening and the heavy riffs of the verse and chorus match the dramatic emotional shifts we all go through when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, the push and pull of retaining our own identities in love.”
Active Bird Community share new single/video ‘Baby It’s You’
“‘Baby It’s You’ is a song about love. But I think the song leaves me with more than just an ‘I’m in love’ feeling and more of a feeling of confidence that comes from loving yourself,” explains singer/guitarist Andrew Wolfson. “I think it’s reciprocal: confidence comes from self-love but it also takes confidence to love yourself. This pop star character Nick D’Agostino and I created in the video has all the confidence in the world and it felt great being that hero for a day.”
