The GRAMMY Album of the Year winning musician dug deep to expose the organic foundation underpinning the soaring harmonies of the anthem spurring nightly sing-alongs on the current eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour.

In Music News: At Which Age Do We Stop Discovering Music – Results Inside…

According to new research by global music streaming service Deezer, 29 years and ten months is the age we are most likely to enter a ‘musical paralysis’, stop discovering new music and listen to the same tracks and genres over and over again.

The research commissioned by Deezer explores the age people enter a ‘musical wilderness’, by asking 1,000 Americans about their song preferences and listening habits. Across all age groups, 60% of respondents reported that they have felt stuck in a musical rut, while over a quarter (28%) said they would be unlikely to try music from outside of their favorite genres.

Deezer found that the lull in music discovery is mainly due to feeling overwhelmed by the mass of choice available (17%), having a demanding job (24%) and caring for young children (15%). However, more than half (60%) of all respondents revealed they wish they could spend more time discovering new music, with half (56%) predicting that in the future they will spend more time discovering new music.

When he heard “Low” for the first time he focused on the beat and kept listening to it over and over. The result was a black room, black drum set, and black clothing. It was all about the groove and the space. It turned into an interesting way to present a song, that has so much production, and portray the conversation taking place in the song” – says Kravitz.
