Critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Jacob Banks’ brand-new track “In the Name of Love” is featured in the upcoming Sony Pictures film The Equalizer 2, in theaters July 20th. The triumphant track, written by Jacob and produced by Oak (Miguel, Kehlani, Alicia Keys, Alessia Cara), showcases Jacob’s powerful vocals as he reflects on the sacrifices made for love. The Equalizer 2 stars Denzel Washington and is directed by Antoine Fuqua, who states “‘In the Name of Love’ has a beautiful and important message about love that reflects exactly what our world needs to hear today. The lyrics cut deep and Jacob’s vocals are unmatched. It gives me great pride to have this song included in the motion picture The Equalizer 2.

Westerman shares new single ‘Easy Money’ / Announces EU and US tour
After his early material revealed an ambitious new sound borne on the forward-thinking experimentalism of influences like Nick Drake, David Byrne and Arthur Russell, Westerman’s single ‘Confirmation’ brought his music to new legions of fans with Pitchfork profiling him in their ‘Rising’ column and Best New Music, saying it “captures a promising writer who’s learned how to take good ideas and warp them into stranger, more sublime shapes.” Gorilla Vs Bear placed it at number 10 in their best tracks of the year (so far) feature this June. Following it up with ‘Edison’, an incisive trip into the inner frailties of a narcissist, the consensus is unanimous: his slick leftfield pop leanings and psychological songwriting have made him one of the most hotly tipped artists this year.
