Los Blancos Share New Videos For Clarach/Cadi Double A Side
Poetic, Raw, Cathartic, Joyous, Fuzzy, Punky, Immediate, Scratchy, Integral, Heartfelt reinvention of Rock and Roll’s 3 chord undiminished wonder, That’s Los Blancos and that’s what we have bursting out of every beautifully scruffy note on their brand new double A side single Clarach / Cadi.
The eventual birth of these songs is a myth in itself, studio flooding and dying computers meant the band lost much of their already recorded debut album and where forced to re record everything during one adrenaline filled recording session with producer Kris Jenkins aka Sir Doufus Styles (SFA, Gruff Rhys, Cate Le Bon, H Hawkline, Gulp) in a closed community centre on a rainy Sunday in the centre of Cardiff.
STEVEN A. CLARK ANNOUNCES NEW LP
Steven A. Clark has announced a new LP, Where Neon Goes To Die, available September 7th via Secretly Canadian. With one foot in the 80s pop / R&B scene that Clark grew up in and the other in contemporary club, the album flows in the vein of Peter Gabriel meets Frank Ocean; a juxtaposition that feels new but familiar with Miami (Clark’s residence) as the backdrop. It’s the city where Clark’s lifelong love of music became a full-time pursuit and also happens to be an enormous playground filled with temptations for a budding young artist. Where Neon Goes to Die explores a complex relationship full of highs and lows created by the temptations. From sultry pop to heart-aching ballads, the album retells Clark’s travels through the city’s nocturnal fantasyland and hooky, R&B-infused synth pop-file.

Otherworldly sisters of The New Tarot share first video from debut album / synth-pop “sci-fi opera”
You only get one debut album, and The New Tarot know this, so they’re telling fans a story with forthcoming LP, The Book of Promises. The idea for the theme and imagery came to Monika Walker in her sleep, and her sister Karen knew it’s what they had to create.
The visuals for the story’s first part, when the protagonist is introduced, is aptly called “The Skinny” and informs and foreshadows what’s the come. Blackbook describes the album as “a sci-fi rock opera, based on the reincarnation of 16th Century English mathematician, astronomer and occult philosopher John Dee (you can see him advising the Queen – as played by Cate Blanchett – in the 2007 film Elizabeth: The Golden Age). Which, surely, is a welcome break from all the lyrical blubbering about broken hearted sadness as proffered by so many of their contemporaries.”
