Nashville hip-hop artist nobigdyl. has released SOLAR, his second full-length album and first on Capitol CMG. Out today, SOLAR features 12 tracks that explore his journey from darkness into the light. Lead singles “enemies?,” twenty eighteen.,” and “psycho heart!” have all garnered praise from outlets such as NYLON Magazine, Ebro Darden on Beats 1, and the Nashville Scene.

Born in Zimbabwe and raised across South Africa, Zambia, and Norway, Ole Småge aka Vuyo – Xhosa for “happiness” – lived through constant adversity. His father, being heavily involved with Nelson Mandela’s anti-apartheid movement, and mother also deeply invested in the Namibian liberation, their family received recurrent bomb-threats. Consequently, Ole and his mother left for Norway where he lived out his teenage years.

Henrik Appel shares a new single off his upcoming solo album, Burning Bodies

After thirteen years at the heart of Stockholm’s garage scene, Henrik Appel is finally going it alone. Since moving to the Swedish capital at the age of twenty, he’s established himself as one of the key figures in the city’s indie rock underground; after starting out playing bass in the punk outfit Kilroy, he met the similarly prolific Martin Savage and joined his band, Martin Savage Gang, handling bass and backing vocals as the group toured across Europe and the United States. Working with Savage inspired Appel to step out front and centre himself, and in the summer of 2016, his new three-piece Lion’s Den released their self-titled debut album, one that had Appel on lead vocals and guitar and on which he penned the lyrics himself.

It’s about the ever changing belief of who your ideal partner is and the countless conversations we have with each other about that, hoping for clarity but usually never finding it. The song tells a story of two friends who end up becoming romantic but aren’t interested in committing to each other at all.”

O.T. GENASIS IS READY TO “CASH ON IT”

“Cash On It” – which heralds O.T. Genasis’ upcoming major label album debut, due later this year – follows 2017’s viral hit single, “Everybody Mad,” available now at all DSPs and streaming services. The track’s companion video, directed by Mike Ho (Chris Brown, Wale), was named “BET Jam of the Week’ upon its initial arrival. “Everybody Mad” was also of course recently featured during Beyoncé’s historic Coachella performances earlier this year. “It was an amazing performance,” O.T.
