“Nothing To Regret,” the latest single from rising pop artist Robinson, has been remixed by Joe Stone and R I T U A L. Dutch DJ/producer Joe Stone has reworked the New Zealander’s unique vocals into an uplifting piano-house summer anthem. R I T U A L’s remix is a darker, slow-burn take on Robinson’s original track. Chicago Vocalist Marcus Atom Releases New Single: “Son Of A Bad Man”

R&B pop / soul artist Ryan Whitman has just released his soulful and sensual new single, “Body Heat.” “Body Heat” is the title track off Ryan Whitman’s debut EP, Body Heat, set to drop Friday, June 22 and follows the EP’s body positive first single, “If You Really Want To.” The song – whose title was originally a running joke between Ryan and his friends – is sensual, and describes the feeling you have after a breakup: “when you pick yourself back up and hit the streets,” explains Ryan, “you feel like you’ve regained a part of yourself.”

Vancouver indie rock/dream pop Yung Heazy shares animated “Zugzwang” video
On February 13th 2017, Jordan Heaney wrote and recorded, “Cuz You’re My Girl” for his girlfriend as a Valentine’s Day gift. Not thinking much, it was uploaded to Soundcloud under the moniker Yung Heazy. The track went on to amass over four million streams in a few months with international interest following. As of June, 2018, local special educator & music educator Lee Stockner has opened the Occupational Octaves(t School of Music – the flagship studio for offering special needs music lessons utilizing his worldwide selling book series, Occupational Octaves Piano™ – right on Long Island’s North Shore!
Lee’s vision is for students of all ages, abilities, and disabilities who may struggle throughout various aspects of life to enjoy his creative approaches for musical success. “The program is named Occupational Octaves because more than just reading notes, playing an instrument requires organizing the mind and body in a calm manner, repeating fine motor patterns, and acquiring new skills. Similarly to the approach of an Occupational Therapist or a Music Therapist, I target the NON-musical goals of musicianship for wide ranging benefits at the piano and in everyday life. My experiences have brought me to prioritize a fun opportunity to improve concentration, posture, and finger strength at the piano for someone who struggles with handwriting over how a song sounds. Luckily, this approach has emerged as an educational win-win because those same new skills will increase the performance quality!” says Stockner.

Coming from varied musical backgrounds (ranging from garage-rock, to surf, to opera), the distinct talents and influences of each member collided in unexpected ways at the band’s first rehearsal. It was here the band discovered that their chemistry wasn’t rooted in a shared musical reference point, but in the creative relief from the expected censorship of being a sideperson.
