Australian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd will release his latest studio album Storm Boy on May 25 via Nettwerk Records. With today’s announcement, Xavier shares the closing song from the forthcoming album called “Times Like These.” The latest track, accompanied by just a guitar and harmonica, shows the artist’s message of simplicity and mindfulness.
For Xavier Rudd, writing music and living his life are one and the same. “I’m literally just singing about the things that are going on around me,” he says. Environmental work, veganism, spiritualism, surfing, exploring new corners of his beloved homeland; everything Rudd does, he pours into song. The result is a personal sound that strikes a universal note.
Storm Boy is produced by Chris Bond (Ben Howard, Tom Speight) and mixed by Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, U2) and first single “Walk Away” showcases his incomparable songwriting craftsmanship and is an impressive addition to his ever-growing legacy.
