Drax Project Relase “Light”

“Light” follows Dex’s Gold chart topping Billboard Hot 100 hit single, “Pick It Up” featuring rap superstar, A$AP Rocky. Dex’s latest release, “Japan” is well over 12 million streams in just two weeks. Unlike the previous releases, “Light” nabs elements of pop and r&b that differ from Dex’s previous high energy records. While an unexpected collaboration, the promising pop band, Drax Project is currently on tour with Ed Sheeran shortly after wrapping another tour with Lorde. Ellie Schmidly has released “One More Wave,” the second single from her upcoming debut EP, Blossom & Bone. Composer Jordan Critz arranged strings for “One More Wave,” with Todd Gummerman (of MuteMath) producing this song along with the rest of Blossom & Bone. “One More Wave” is available today at all digital outlets, with Blossom & Bone following on May 11.

New Amsterdam Records is proud to announce the release of Dissections, the debut album from composer-performer ensemble Invisible Anatomy and now streaming/available for purchase via Bandcamp.

The ensemble will celebrate the record release on Sunday, April 15 at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall as part of the LPR: Presents series. The show will feature Lisel (the recording project of Eliza Bagg) opening, and Invisible Anatomy will perform five works by the group’s members. The concert is the third in a series of events co-presented by New Amsterdam and (Le) Poisson Rouge throughout 2018, marking the 10th anniversary of the two organizations, both born with the mission to elevate the new music community.

Songwriter and filmmaker team up for video based on true organ donor story

Singer/songwriter Sarah McQuaid has teamed up with award-winning filmmaker Brett Harvey for a music video/short film based on the poignant true story of Bill Conner, a father who lost his daughter and cycled 1,400 miles to hear her heart beating again in the body of its recipient.

Underpinned by Sarah’s song “Slow Decay”, from her just-released fifth solo album, If We Dig Any Deeper It Could Get Dangerous, the video was released today, Friday March 30, with Conner’s blessings.
