Having already amassed a dedicated following in far-reaching corners of the internet, prolific 18-year-old wunderkind Chakra Efendi shares his first official release, ‘Waste of Space’. Attracting streams of 100K+ on a series of demos on SoundCloud, Chakra Efendi’s uniquely forthcoming, noise-tinged brand of lo-fi pop has been steadily connecting with pockets of fans around the globe. LUI HILL releases new single ‘Revolver’

Bravely stepping away from electronic elements that ushered the success of previous single ‘5000 Miles’, LUI HILL’s new cut ‘Revolver’ sees the enigmatic producer lay himself bare, utilizing striking sonic elements like bouncing keys flanked by rock steady percussion and Hill’s quintessential husky vocals to create a decidedly more ‘indie rock’ sound. ‘Revolver’ details the frustration of being stuck in a cycle of the mundane; a failing relationship or a dead end job, but the hope of better things to come.

L.A. Indie Rockers Brett Release “Roman Candle”

‘With their new single ‘Roman Candle,’ Brett announces a complete departure from the summery and warm mood of 2017’s ‘Mustangs’ EP, and instead opts for angular guitar riffs and apocalyptic lyrics, while still maintaining the project’s melodic sensibilities. With strong sonic influence taken from early Cure and New Order, ‘Roman Candle’ paints a picture of shadowy, apocalyptic dread that, in times like these, seems to be less insidious and more distinct in our daily lives. The song relies on Brett’s trademark pop melodies, but ends in a wall of guitar feedback and distortion, mirroring the chaos detailed throughout the song. Brett’s new EP ‘Half’ is out 2018 on 10K Islands.’

There is desperation and urgency in Fantastic Negrito’s new album PLEASE DON’T BE DEAD, arriving Friday June 15 via Cooking Vinyl and Blackball Universe. For anyone who ever felt like it was over yet hoped it wasn’t, this is your music.

“I wrote this album because I fear for the life of my black son,” said Negrito. “I fear for the lives of my daughters. I am uncertain about what kind of future they will face. Will someone shoot up their school? Will they become addicted to prescription pills? Will they wind up on the street, sleeping under freeways and overpasses? Will the police murder my son? I came up with the name Please Don’t Be Dead because I felt like we’d lost of our way as a society – and I know what happens when you chase the wrong things. It’s the story of my life.”

“I hope that people will be reminded that the desire to be heard knows no boundaries,” MILCK tells Latina Magazine. “Regardless of what country we are from, or what language we speak, we are all human beings, connected at a deep and spiritual level. The movement for love and tolerance is growing all over the world and it’d be an honor to continue being a voice of support for this global movement. Because I can speak a little Spanish and love the language, I wanted to contribute to the global bond of this movement by singing in Spanish. I hope people can feel the emotion, and be healed, or feel less alone.”
