MUNA RELEASE 3-SONG ACOUSTIC EP “ABOUT U: ONE YEAR ON” TODAY

Today, Los Angeles-based trio MUNA release a 3-song acoustic EP entitled About U: One Year On. The EP was recorded live in studio on February 2nd which marks exactly one year since the release of their debut album About U. About U: One Year On, which is mixed by Dan Grech-Marguerat who also mixed their debut album, is available now at all digital retail providers via RCA Records.

Lokki | ‘Breathe A Breath Of Me’

Lokki today releases ‘Breathe A Breath Of Me’, the latest track to emerge from his forthcoming debut EP ‘Cirrhi’, due for release on March 16. The choir-backed hymnal new track follows Lokki’s stark debut single ‘I Catch You’ which emerged last month via a video created with Japanese calligraphy artist Akemi Lucas.

ODIE Shares the Gorgeous Guitar-Driven “North Face”

Drawing from a wide range of disparate influences, Nigerian-Canadian artist ODIE pioneers a style all to his own. Preparing a formidable batch of post-genre urban music, ODIE announces Analogue, his debut album. While NF was in Los Angeles yesterday for his sold-out show at The Wiltern, Capitol Music Group (CMG) Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett surprised him with a plaque to commemorate 1 million global adjusted album sales. This impressive number includes 125,000 albums, 750,000 track downloads and over 1 million combined streams of the NF Real Music/Caroline U.S. gold Album Perception and the U.S. platinum single “Let You Down.” The celebration at the Capitol Records Tower was made sweeter by the simultaneous move of “Let You Down” to the No. 1 position on the Mediabase Top 40 chart.

The Pendletons Release New Single “Funk Forever”

Comprised of Bay Area talents E Da Boss(of Myron and E on Stone’s Throw) and Trailer Limon, The Pendletons are a long-standing boogie-funk and modern soul project. Emerging with their very first release in 2010, a 7″ inch of “Coming Down/Waiting On You” on the Slept On record label, it instantly became a cult classic receiving constant play at nights like San Francisco’s Sweater Funk and LA’s Funkmosphere, and fetching for serious sums among vinyl collectors. Most recently, in 2016, they released the EP “Gotta Get Out” whose title track caught the ear of renowned BBC Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson, who liked it enough to release it on his ‘Brownswood Bubbler’ compilation.

The Orange Peels Share “Stealing Days” Track Via The 405

The 405 has shared The Orange Peels new single entitled “Stealing Days”. It is the final track off their forthcoming LP ‘Trespassing’ out 4/27 via Minty Fresh. When talking about the song the band’s lead singer Allen Clapp says, “The band throws shards of guitars, wheezing vintage synths, and enormous programmed drums over an undulating bassline. The message here is a recurring theme on the album: Are we tearing down everything that makes us human? Are we able to evolve into a species that can treat each other with love and respect? How do we deal with those destructive people in our existence? Are we just Trespassing here? It’s no ‘What the World Needs Now.’ It’s a dystopian pop song where people tear each other down to build themselves up. It’s a lot like life.”

GUNSHIP Share New Track & Video For “Art3mis & Parzival”

OYLS Releases Debut EP Today

LA based duo OYLS is David Kirshenbaum (former business consultant for KPMG) and Michael Lipp (a failed strip club DJ turned Hebrew school music teacher). Best friends since high school, Michael and David — both dreaming of a career in music — began collaborating and supporting each other musically at a young age. When they chose to attend different colleges, both quickly found themselves straying from their passion as they pursued their respective career paths. A chance encounter and some rare free time brought them back together creating music again. They soon both left their jobs and pursued music full time. OYLS was born.

Punk Legends No Fun At All Announce New Album Grit on Bird Attack Records

Formed in 1991, Sweden’s No Fun At All quickly carved out their own brand of fast, melodic hardcore-punk with their debut EP Vision (1993) and the subsequent album No Straight Angles (1994). Establishing a sound of their own and, alongside contemporaries Millencolin and Satanic Surfers, themselves as one of the biggest Swedish acts of the 90’s skatepunk scene. The new album, recorded and produced by Millencolin’s Mathias Farm in November, along with a bunch of well-received European shows this past summer, shows there are no signs of slowing down for No Fun At All.

Miss FD shares video for her song “Despair”

The track is dark and eerie with a hard-hitting rhythm that makes for an entrancing composition. Accompanying the single is an equally dark and hypnotic music video directed by Chad Michael Ward. The video elevates the song to an even higher level, creating more depth and texture to the story. The visuals for “Despair” are rich with elements of sorcery, darkness, and fire. The video is set for a March 9th release, to be followed by the release of the whole album, Transcendence, on March 27th.

MOVEMENTS Partner With Alzheimer’s Association To Debut Emotional Video For “Deadly Dull”

California’s MOVEMENTS have partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association to debut an emotionally charged video for “Deadly Dull”, a fan favorite off their latest album Feel Something. Directed by Max Moore, the video depicts a vivid representation of effects of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

“‘Deadly Dull’ is a song that we felt really needed a visual aid,” says lead singer-songwriter Patrick Miranda. “The song is powerful as it is, but adding a video really helps drive the point home and make the situation more understandable. Seeing someone you love suffer from a disease that rids them of who they are is a really hard thing to experience. We felt that director Max Moore would do a perfect job of taking this song to the next level, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.”
