Dr Dog Share new single

Philadelphia’s beloved Dr Dog are today sharing their new single, ‘Buzzing In The Light’, the latest to be taken from their forthcoming album Critical Equation, due for release via We Buy Gold Records/Thirty Tigers on April 27, 2018. This new cut follows in the footsteps of the Consequence of Sound-supported ‘Go Out Fighting’ and is the third to be taken from the Gus Seyffert-produced (Beck, Michael Kiwanuka, The Black Keys) album. Dr Dog will support the new release with a full UK tour throughout autumn 2018 with dates to be announced imminently.

Claude VonStroke Announces EU Tour

Legend Claude VonStroke announces his return to Europe today with a beasty string of dates playing the UK, Belgium, Spain, Germany and The Netherlands this spring.

The tour, which will see the DJ, producer and label owner play both festivals and clubs, will begin at renowned Birmingham warehouse, Lab11, followed by world-renowned XOYO London, continuing on to Club Vaag for a date in Antwerp. Claude VonStroke will then play festival La Gran Corrdia Cultural, Barcelona, stopping at Kater Blau Berlin before heading onto Gorilla in Manchester. The last stretch will see the man behind the Dirtybird empire play Music On Festival, Amsterdam, rounding up in the UK with dates at Brighton’s The Arch and Colchester’s prolific night, Freqklash.

Manic Street Preachers share album track ‘Dylan & Caitlin’

Following the release of ‘International Blue’ at the end of 2017, and ‘Distant Colours’ in February, Manic Street Preachers have made a third track available from their forthcoming 13th studio album ‘Resistance Is Futile’.’Dylan and Caitlin’ is out today (9 March) and is a duet with The Anchoress. The band have also been confirmed as playing the 25th Meltdown Festival curated by The Cure’s Robert Smith. The band will appear at the Royal Festival Hall in London on the 19th June following their own UK tour.

Non Serviam Records Signs Belarusian Black Metal Unit RAVEN THRONE

Emerged from the ancient city Polotsk in 2004, Belarusian band RAVEN THRONE is having 05 LPs and an EP in its amassment. The short lived first line-up collapsed after a few shows, the guitarist Chernotur (aka Dzianis Lukianovich, Thy Wings) kept the flame alive with War Head, who joined the band as a bass player in 2005. Encountering several lineup changes, the main core of the band had been formed in the person of Chernotur and War Head since then. During 2005 and 2006 RAVEN THRONE was a studio project, until Ingwar Winterheart (aka Galdor) joined the band. The first records were made at that time.

The track, which comes in at a mighty 5 minutes, is an adventure into the minds of all great jazz musicians of time gone by. Although the band have are all in their 20s, Brooklin as a force has a sound beyond their years.

Specializing in insular and cerebral rap music, wifisfuneral is one of the premier lyricists in rap’s new wave. Paying tribute to the DJ DMD classic, based on a phrase originally used by Memphis legends 8 Ball & MJG, wifi paints a bleak picture of his habits in “25 Lighters,” his latest single. Chronicling his inner demons in exquisite detail, wifi mixes confessions with slick braggodocio and double-time flows. In the video, wifi retreats to his New York hotel room, with only his substances and an upright piano to keep him company, as video director Lonewolf embellishes his fractured mental state with collage-style animations. The video was released following a cryptic countdown sequence on his website, wifisfuneral.com, which kept fans speculating on what the Palm Beach phenom had up his sleeves. The follow-up to last week’s “Friday Take” visual, “25 Lighters” is the first video off Ethernet, the South Florida rapper’s upcoming mixtape. In January, wifisfuneral teamed up with frequent collaborator and producer Cris Dinero for Last Time Doing Drugs, a new bite-sized EP with an appearance from Craig Xen.

Rising Malian singer, songwriter, guitarist and acclaimed actress Fatoumata Diawara is set for the release of her second solo full length album Fenfo (which translates as “Something to Say”), out May 18 on Shanachie Entertainment. ATLANTIC RECORDS TEAMS WITH PRODUCERS OF “HAMILTON”

Atlantic Records has announced plans for a prolific slate of musical releases tied to “Rise,” NBC’s much anticipated new drama series from the producers of “Hamilton,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Parenthood.”

Each Friday, beginning, March 9, original cast recordings of the tracks featured in the following Tuesday’s episode of “Rise” will be released at all DSPs and streaming services. The first musical offering highlights cast recordings included in the “Rise” series premiere, airing on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, immediately following the season finale of “This Is Us.” The weekly musical releases will culminate with a full album, entitled “RISE SEASON 1: THE ALBUM,” due Friday, May 11. The collection will highlight selected tracks released over the course of the season, alongside additional unreleased songs from the cast.
