Dermot Kennedy & Mike Dean Team Up for “Moments Passed” Remix
Fast-rising Irish artist Dermot Kennedy will release a remix of his single “Moments Passed”, which has received a special treatment from producer Mike Dean (Kanye West, Jay Z, Travis Scott, Desiigner). Dean maintains Dermot’s hauntingly beautiful melodies on the remix and adds his signature production work, bringing to the forefront Dermot’s love for blending hip hop nodes and acoustic music. Dean was left suitably impressed after collaborating with Dermot:
“Always love finding up and coming artists to work with—especially when their sound is a bit different of a lane from what I’m currently working on. Dermot’s lyric delivery really pops on the original, and in a way with the remix, we created a new version of the song where his vocal really has room to breathe.” — Mike Dean

Frøkedal teases album 2 with new single ‘Believe’
Eloquently manoeuvring her way around chugging guitars and swirling strings, Anne Lise Frøkedal appears to be highlighting the importance of believing blindly in oneself, almost a pep-talk: “And you’re all trying to take care of me / Is it kindness? Is it tyranny? / All my dreams are still alive / I’ve got my mind set right this time / baby believe”. Far from the acoustic sensibilities of previous singles, ‘Believe’ signals an arguably more “mature” sound for Frøkedal–combining full band with folk-leaning string sections.
