SKOPE NEWS FOR FEBRUARY 13, 2018

Russian Metal Band, Tiavara, Release NEW Track

The band states: “When Silence Reigns” is a song about a spiralling descent into mental instability. A sufferer consciously withdraws himself from society out of fear of not being understood or accepted. It is about pushing away loved ones and retreating into a mental shell to avoid torment but making problems worse instead. It was inspired by and can be considered to be sort of a sequel to our earlier song “Never Silent” and books about mental illness as well as biographical facts about serial killers. The lyrics are shaped like a typical heartbreak story that could be found on social networks but with a dark twist. Musically When Silence Reigns is an emotional reflection of our lead guitarists wondering about what is it like to be completely alone and if he has any “true friends”.

Russian Baths share ‘enveloping’ new single “Poolhouse”

Anna von Hausswolff shares haunting track “The Truth, The Glow, The Fall”

Magic, as old as humanity itself, is the primordial answer to the threat of losing our own presence in the world, the fear of oblivion. From magic, the most fascinating, mysterious, and enchanting stories are born, but also the most obscure and fatal ones. Dead Magic: this is the paradox chosen by Anna von Hausswolff to open the doors to disturbance and anxiety. A title that embodies disorientation, an unsettling suggestion of which nothing can be known and that, by choice of the artist, will not be further explained.
