Memphis Riser Key Glock Pledges Allegiance to the Streets in “All I Know Is Trap,”

Sensing a kindred spirit with a brash personality and confident delivery, King of Memphis Young Dolph anoints Key Glock as the next Bluff City rapper to blow. Bringing out the block on a frigid winter’s day, Key Glock pledges his allegiance to the streets on “All I Know His Trap,” his latest video single. Counting stacks, smoking Backwoods, and strumming his namesake weapon like a guitar on a South Memphis porch, Glock shows off his considerable charisma in the new clip. Premiered by The FADER, “All I Know Is Trap” is the latest release from Glock Bond, the rapper’s upcoming mixtape. Featuring production from Tay Keith, Sosa 808, Teddy Walton, Ramy On The Beat, and DJ Squeeky, Glock Bond is a worthy follow-up to 2017’s Glock Season, which has over 6 million combined streams on Spotify. Released by Young Dolph’s Paper Route Empire and distributed by EMPIRE, Glock Bond releases on February 2nd.

Jason S. Matuskiewicz – “Can We Put Out the Flames?”

As a person who was once in a band who received the following opening line in a review, “All of [Jason’s band’s] success in undeserved,” Jason understands that winning cases and awards does not mean he will win what he truly wants: your heart. His fondest hope is that you will release your inhibitions and submit to his glamour.

His latest single, “Can We Put Out the Flames?” is a slow feel bad anthem (but in a good way) about longing for utter oblivion. It is not enough that the world will not exist, nor that it does not exist; it is only enough that nothing exist, that nothing has ever existed, or will ever exist—infinite darkness forever, where somethingness is not, has never been and will never be.

L.A. Underground Hero A$ton Matthews Gets a Posthumous Verse from Prodigy on “One Minute to Pray”

With a helium-pitched rasp and with a vividly imaginative pen, A$ton Matthews is one of L.A.’s most respected underground emcee. Serving up a sinister slice of street savagery, Matthews shares “One Minute to Pray,” his first single. Produced with steely minimalism by Jay Curry, “One Minute to Pray” is a slice of life portrait of life in the streets, brimming with lived-in details and violent imagery. Premiered by Billboard, “One Minute to Pray” features one of the last ever verses from Prodigy, recorded shortly before the Mobb Deep legend’s untimely passing: “I am the danger you worry bout/I’m the type your father told you not to hang around/I’m the type yo momma told you ‘be cautious’/Now you hidin’ in you crib scared and you nauseous/I find out where you live, that shit gettin’ torched/I don’t give a fuck who in it, it’s your fault.” “One Minute to Pray” follows “Brazy,” a streetwise slapper produced by Pi’erre Bourne.
