Tommie describes the visual, “I wanted the look of the video to feel bold, to show growth and progress from the setting and background down to my camera presence. My movement is building and I’m growing so much as an artist, it was important to communicate that visually.” Tommie King has amassed over 200K plays on Soundcloud by releasing only two records in 2017. SEA SHEPHERD UNVEILS NEW ANTI-POACHING VESSEL M/V SHARPIE IN MIAMI
Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, the direct-action marine organization, unveiled its newest vessel, the M/V Sharpie, at a press conference today, Monday, December 11th at 11:00 am at the 5th Street Marina in Miami, Fla.
The group’s founder, president, and CEO, Captain Paul Watson, greeted media, fans, and local residents who came to the unveiling ceremony on the bow of the ship. Speaking to the crowd, Watson announced that the vessel would be joining its sister ships the M/V Farley Mowat and the M/V John Paul DeJoria in the Sea of Cortez for Operation Milagro IV, a campaign to save the critically endangered vaquita porpoise. All three ships are 110 ft. Island-class patrol boats.

Baketown is the project of Berlin-based artist and producer, Noah Becker. In May 2017, Noah took on the lease of an old mechanics garage in Schöneberg (Berlin) and over the summer with the help of friends and fellow artists has converted it into a recording studio, art studio, live venue and overall creative hub.
The space has since become a meeting point for a circle of multidisciplinary artists based in Berlin as well as for artists who are passing thru on tour or simply visiting. The spirit of the space naturally promotes both collaboration and creativity; bringing together artists across all genres to work with one another to create music and art that thrives off of organic connection. Prosthetic Records Signs Americana Metal Outfit HUNTSMEN
Storytelling is the great, albeit fading, American pastime. It predated writing and in many instances, was told in song. In modern times, many musicians have approached their music from a storytelling point of view: Dylan, Springsteen and Waits to name a few. Chicago’s Americana metal outfit, HUNTSMEN, are carrying the torch for heavy bands to be added to that list and have announced their signing to Prosthetic Records.
HUNTSMEN have released two EPs, 2014’s Post War and 2016’s The Colonel. When it came time to work on the band’s first full length, American Scrap, vocalist/guitarist Chris Kang wanted to tackle the paradox of American nationalism and pride, given we are a country of immigrants.
“I always have conflicting feelings,” speaks Kang, “where I’m really proud of the inclusive and optimistic ideal it represents- my father found opportunity here to carve a life that just didn’t exist back home- but I’m really ashamed of so much of its past and present. I wanted to make an album that spent some time with these confusing feelings, and that was American Scrap.”
