MIGUEL ANNOUNCES THE WAR & LEISURE TOUR

With less than three days until the release of his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Grammy Award-winning singer / songwriter Miguel has announced a North American tour in support of his upcoming album, War & Leisure. The 35 date THE WAR & LEISURE TOUR kicks off February 22nd in Portland, Oregon, hitting major markets in the US and Canada throughout the Spring and concluding on April 12th in Berkeley, CA. TDE’s SiR & NONCHALANT SAVANT will join Miguel on the road as opening acts for all North American dates. Tickets go on sale December 4th starting at 10AM local in select markets. Brett Eldredge Announces Headlining Tour Kicking Off April 2018

Platinum-selling recording artist and critically praised live performer Brett Eldredge will go nationwide for his first ever headlining tour in 2018. The Long Way Tour will kick off on April 5 in Idaho with tickets going on sale beginning December 8. This morning Eldredge announced 10 cross-country dates, including a stop at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, with special guest and label mate Devin Dawson as well as up-and-coming country artist Jillian Jaqueline in tow.

Before hitting the road for his headlining dates, Eldredge will join Blake Shelton for the Country Music Freaks Tour beginning in February alongside Carly Pearce and Trace Adkins.

Emerging Electro Pop Artist Elle Exxe Fights Back Against Stereotypes In New Video “Catapult”

Emerging from the underground, Scottish electro pop star Elle Exxe releases her self-directed video for her latest single ‘Catapult’. The video, which premiered yesterday at an intimate but epic performance at MAC’s flagship store in London, uses clever makeup and fashion to explore how people can view each other in two dimensions and prescribes a solution for the problem.

“My ‘Catapult’ music video is a visual representation highlighting the way we look at each other as 2-dimensional,” Elle says. “Too often people define and judge one another based on basic outlines ­– what clothes someone wears, who they’re friends with, what colour their skin is etc. Those judgements become beliefs – creating the same kind of instinct that tells you when something is flat or has depth. I wanted to mess with people’s minds in video format by creating a 2D illusion with high-contrast black and white makeup and clothing.”

Pop punk band Bleacher Days share new EP early via New Noise Magazine

Boston-based pop punk band Bleacher Days will be releasing their new EP I Only Saw True Purpose on December 1st, but the band has teamed up with New Noise Magazine to share an exclusive stream early. The six tracks produced by Chris Piquette (Trophy Wives, Lions Lions) are angst-charged, introspective songs that are poppy, but still pack enough punch to keep the mosh pits moving.

Future States share innovative, interactive “You’ve Got It All Wrong”

Today the band share their interactive, innovative video “You’ve Got It All Wrong” with PopMatters. You can watch via YouTube.The video was created by multi-media technologist, Aaron Krajeski (Besnard Lakes). The idea for the video came from wanting to create a project where the band could work with Krajeski, who the band had previously collaborated with on visuals at past shows. For these Krajeski programmed projections that would track and respond to band member’s movements on stage using an Xbox Kinect sensor. Synonymous with Prince’s famous “Hit N Run” releases which dropped without warning or promotion, The Prince Estate has launched a “Hit N Run” online pop-up store (www.PrinceHitNRun.com). This is the first offering of official and authorized merchandise from The Prince Estate. The collection includes classic pieces highlighting Prince’s iconic looks from his debut to the Purple Rain era and more. The capsule includes two graphic pieces from UK artist Martin Homent – the first inspired from Purple Rain and the second a silhouette of Prince’s profile cast on the moon – Prince featured the latter graphic as a stage backdrop during his final Piano & A Microphone performances in early 2016. Notably, Martin’s artwork was also featured on the cover of Prince’s final two albums, HITnRun Phase One and HITnRUN Phase Two. Shanghai Restoration Project Share New LP On Magnetic

Magnetic has shared Shanghai Restoration Project’s new LP ‘R.U.R.’. The band’s singles “Spooky Party” and “Alpha Go” premiered on Huffington Post and The 405 respectively. “Alpha Go” was also just shared on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist, which has close to 600K followers. When talking about the new album the duo says, “Inspired by a combination of current events and technological breakthroughs, R.U.R. imagines a future in which humans have been replaced by artificial intelligence. To capture this dissonance between the natural and artificial, our production choices include detuned analog instruments paired with human vocals, polyrhythms comprised of body percussion and plant pots, and samples ranging from rainforest insects to outer space sounds. Hopefully these choices make our album resonate better with listeners.”

Stefanie’s background in classical piano especially impressionistic and virtuosic pieces ranging from Debussy to Lizst and her perfect pitch led her to studying classical piano at the New School while living in Brooklyn, NY. Stefanie exerts a quiet intensity and focus very few musicians ever achieve. Her ability to sculpt out unique sounds using vintage analog and modern digital synths provides a sonic foundation to Lucida that forms the heart of their sound.
