The Poodles – New video out today
The Poodles are back with “It’s no good”, the second single from the coming album “PRISMA”, in virtual and physical stores early 2018!
“We took on the challenge to do our version of an iconic song from a different genre”, says lead singer Jakob Samuel. “Depeche Mode is such an influential band and their darker 90s stuff is really cool!” he continues.
Rebels share philosophical opus ‘When The Cost Has No Value’
Despite being introduced by the group as “a load of overheard pub conversations, squashed into one song”, there’s a whole heap of wisdom in the words of ‘When The Cost Has No Value’, a deadpan roll-call of neologisms for our times set to two and a half minutes of loping drum-machine-and-strum-driven melody. Taken from Moderate Rebels’ forthcoming album, ‘The Sound of Security’, the song cements the London collective’s standing at the lyrical and sonic cutting-edge, sounding entirely effortless as they do so.
ALTHEA Release New Official Video ‘Leave It For Tonight’
Leave It For Tonight is taken from the latest album of Italian progressive group Althea titled Memories Have No Name. This is the first full official video taken from the album following the recent lyrics video for Take Me as I Am.
Here’s what Althea had to say about the song; “The song is about the moment when we are burdened with thoughts that seem so huge and undefeatable that the only remaining thing to do is finding a shelter in the world of dreams. In this world, we are always welcomed by a recurring voice assuring us that everything is alright and under control, while we are moving between the light and the dark… between dreams and reality… where we are lost even if we know the path, where we can do whatever we want knowing that nothing is for real and that nothing can hurt us. Passing from a light sleep to the deepest one, the heart rate slows and prepares us to a safe journey within the feelings and memories that live in our dreams and that can’t reach the real world… until we wake up again uncertain on where we are…”.
FALL OUT BOY debuts HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON’T
The video, directed by Brendan Walter and Mel Soria, is a love story embedded in a colorful and vibrant celebration of Dia de los Muertos. “HOLD ME TIGHT OR DON’T” is the fourth glimpse inside M A N I A, coming on the heels of global streaming hit “The Last Of The Real Ones” which dropped in September.

HOOFMARK: Indy Metal Vault premieres “Amongst a Sea of Darkness”
Portuguese wild west black metal one-man-band HOOFMARK have unveiled the track “Amongst a Sea of Darkness” on Indy Metal Vault.
Taken off from the band’s upcoming full-length “Stoic Winds”, which is set to be released on December 8th via Ultraje, Indy Metal Vault writes that it “scratches all the right itches for me. Good riffs, an interesting concept (and one that doesn’t take itself too seriously), smart songwriting, and some seriously gross vocals. If you’re the type of person who likes their music grim and nasty, but still has a big enough funnybone to chuckle at the video of Abbath eating shit down a hill, it’s a safe bet Hoofmark will make a fan out of you.”
Hear Anna Burch’s new single “Asking 4 a Friend”
Detroit singer/songwriter, Anna Burch, came to Polyvinyl’s attention the same way most valuable discoveries happen. By word of mouth. Fellow Michigan native and longtime Polyvinyl artist, Fred Thomas, sent Burch’s demos to Polyvinyl in the summer of 2017 with a simple note; “This is not a drill. You need to hear this.”

Femi Kuti announces 10th album + shares title track “One People One World”
Femi Kuti is the heart and soul of modern Afrobeat. Femi’s father, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, created the style – a blend of traditional Nigerian drum patterns, the smooth groove of highlife and American soul, funk and R&B – and took it to the world, inspiring people with insistent dance beats and lyrics bristling with political statements. Afrobeat moved several generations of musicians, in Nigeria and around the world, to follow Fela’s dictum and use music as a weapon to fight for justice and freedom. Femi and his band, Positive Force, are at the forefront of that movement, continually expanding the music’s vocabulary, adding hints of punk and hip-hop to the sound, while maintaining its traditional roots and political message.
