Singer-songwriter NADINE releases music video for new single ‘Rise’

With a distinctive, ethereal voice, London based NADINE is starting to have a real impact in both her native Switzerland and the UK. Nadine grew up in the picturesque Emmental, where her multi-instrumentalist mother introduced Nadine to the English-speaking world of soulful pop and first tastes of live music. Nadine moved to London in 2011 where she started exploring the London music scene, playing stripped back piano sets at venues such as The Bedford, Hoxton Underbelly, Proud Camden and living room gigs with Sofar Sounds. Nadine released her debut EP Spring Will Come in 2013 which climbed up the singer-songwriter iTunes charts and lead single Snowflake got a warm reception on BBC Introducing. Nadine released her second and more electronic EP Exile in 2015. Lead single This Isn’t Love gained Clare Balding’s attention who played it on BBC Radio 2.

Portland psych/garage rock band WIBG (fka Wooden Indian Burial Ground) share full stream

Today, the band shared the full stream of the strange, engrossing Winnie and the Nihilist via Culture Collide, with a guide to Portland and an interview. The outlet says of the record, “[it’s] nine tracks of jam-pack, non-stop energetic fuel, that will leave listeners daring to seize the day, or at the very least, partake in some solid moshing.”

Glasgow Underground have unveiled a new compilation to celebrate its twenty years at the cutting edge of the Scottish music scene. Curated by label owner Kevin McKay, ‘Underground Sound of Glasgow’ is filled with exclusive cuts from label affiliates and the finest Glaswegian newcomers.

Compiled of 15 tracks, the impressive collection of work features tracks from Hammer, JD Twitch, Jasper James, Ceol, Auntie Flo and Kevin McKay himself. Encapsulating the sound of a city across the broad and diverse musical selection, the album takes in influence from the nugroove, italo house and balearic beats that Kevin fell in love with from his experiences at Sub Club. Pop punk band Bleacher Days announce December tour with Riviera

Bleacher Days will playing songs off their upcoming EP I only Saw True Purpose, produced by Chris Piquette (Trophy Wives, Lions Lions). Alana Henderson – Hozier’s cellist making chilling Irish folk

Alana Henderson is a cellist and singer-songwriter from Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Her self-released Wax and Wane EP (2014) drew solid comparisons to Joanna Newsome and Fiona Apple. Shortly thereafter she stepped up to accompany Hozier on cello and supporting vocals. Songstress Diana Gameros Releases “Arrullo”

Coming up next Sunday, November 19, San Francisco-based singer-guitarist-social activist Diana Gameros celebrates the release of her sophomore studio album Arrullo at Gallery 263 (Cambridge, MA). Gameros has resided in the United States for more than two decades, and for much of that time, she’s been an undocumented immigrant. Now with legal status through a work permit and a green card on the way, Gameros records Arrullo in tribute to her homeland featuring 13 standout renditions of classic Mexican songs. In anticipation of soon returning to Ciudad Juárez, Mexico for the first time in 15 years, Gameros independently releases Arrullo on November 10, 2017.
