Scottish troubadours JR Green share new cut ‘Tily Lily’ from their new ‘Flora EP’

The Flora EP is a body of work compiled of genuine expression. Looking back on these songs now we feel emotions of a mixed variety. Certain passages of lyricism and instrumentation appear to us as written by completely different people. That’s not to say that these songs haven’t served us well. They’ve taken us up and down the country and have bound ourselves and those involved with JR Green together. Experiences pass and become obscured through selective memory. In our fortunate position we have been able to freeze these experiences in songs, songs that make us squirm like eels with embarrassment, songs that make us get up stage night after night and perform with a sense of purpose. We hope to see you in the future, proud and bound together again.

Curated and edited by Keir, the clip is a collage of old films he loves and imagery that provoke the senses. Hailing from Bristol, Keir first caught the eye of critics after performing live for BBC Introducing at Maida Vale and subsequently gained traction at a series of unforgettable early live performances at The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party and Glastonbury, among others. FACE ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF DEBUT EP ‘YESPLEASE’

It seems strange in the modern world of music, one seemingly dominated by manufactured pop bands and synthesised dance music, that the story of FACE is one of friends who banded together to make music they all genuinely love, who aren?t afraid to write big, bold, ambitious pop songs that can engage with the masses on a grand scale.

This is witnessed on their incredibly impressive debut EP ?YESPLEASE,? released on the 24th November. It?s a record that bristles with energy not seen from a band since the early days of The Killers, as FACE channel the widescreen rock of Bruce Springsteen and the pop nous of The 1975 with effortless ease.

Finnish lo-fi psych trio Lake Jons “Colors”

Directed by Raimo Saba & Markus Kontiainen in the remote forests of their native Finland, the “Colors” video is both avant-garde and visually stunning… definitely worth checking out! Lake Jons has been cultivating their sound since 2014, using the diverse, tight-knit music scene in Helsinki as their petri dish for inspiration. Utilizing samples, simple driving rhythms, delicate guitar progressions and powerful, soulful vocals as pillars, this is clearly reflected in the bands’ sound. Exploring themes of introspection, existentialism, and human relationships, the lyrics detail a quieter existence. A calm and persistent “life will go on” motif is prevalent throughout their first full-length album, Lake Jons, which follows on the the heels of two EP’s they released in 2016.

Shrouded figures, hidden books of lore, ceremonial daggers, human sacrifice and rituals of transformation all accompany the eerily anthemic musical score.

Seattle’s The Complex Dialect Release New Track, “One Constellation”

“‘One Constellation’ is the emotional turning-point in the album. It’s the beginning of a mentality shift from calling out these external and internal issues we face towards processing those issues and moving forward. A large portion of moving forward is using the concept of perception as a tool for healing. The song removes the listener from the saturation of pain we face in our daily lives and challenges them to ask, ‘what does this all mean in the grand scheme of existence?,’ by changing the landscape towards the deep cosmos. Sometimes to really process and begin that journey towards progress and change, you have to change your perspective, and in this case step outside your own personal universe” – Earnie Ashwood

Young Dolph Is Alive, Well, and Thriving in “What’s The Deal”

Still in the midst of recovery from a serious shooting incident in September, during which he was shot twice in the arm and once in the leg, Young Dolph stands triumphant. Thematically, on Secret Wars, the band looks to “acknowledge all those battles that are kept behind closed doors. There may always be a force working against us, by our chemistry, or by those who supposedly have the public’s best interest in mind”. Secret Wars serves as the perfect capstone to the Culture Scars era of the band and will undoubtedly get listeners excited for what’s in store next from Hail The Sun.

G-EAZY ANNOUNCES DECEMBER 15TH RELEASE DATE FOR ‘THE BEAUTIFUL & DAMNED’ ALBUM

‘The Beautiful and Damned’ album and short film paints a very dire portrait of Gerald/G-Eazy that is very real and has never been shared by him before.

Originally Gerald saw limitations in his life so he created G-Eazy as a way to make it past those and live how he thought he wanted to live and become that rockstar he thought he wanted to be. The problematic pattern that has come from the rise of this star is that G-Eazy lives a constant dark cliché of addiction and over-indulgence in his favorite vices that surround him each night in the lifestyle in which he’s found himself. Heavy handed in reference to F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name, ‘The Beautiful and Damned’ shows us hung-over Gerald left having to clean up reckless G’s aftermath on a daily basis.
