Darkwave duo Cock & Swan share new single “Flock Descending”

Today Seattle-based electronic synth-pop duo Cock & Swan’s share new single “Flock Descending” taken from their forthcoming album, Dream Alone. It follows the moving lead-single “PERG (Honing)”. The Grey Estates share the new track saying, “…a single that raises every hair on you arm, prickles all your senses and plunges you into a masterfully created world that’s as haunting as it is beautiful.” Dream Alone is out November 3rd on Hush Hush Records.

YØUTH Releases Debut LP, Blame

Nashville indie rock artist YØUTH has released Blame, the debut LP from multi-instrumentalist Julian Denté. Blame is out today and available at all digital outlets.

In speaking with Julian about the making of Blame, there’s no doubt that this album has taken its toll on the young songwriter. Years removed from completing this record, the album had been shelved due to management changes, hacked social media accounts, and multiple rescheduled release dates. Because of those challenges, Julian says he feels disconnected from these songs; some of which he wrote when he was 19 years old. But there is gratification in forging ahead and self-releasing an album that he’s poured so much time and effort into.

NASA Releases Striking Video Featuring Disturbed’s Grammy-Nominated “The Sound Of Silence”

isturbed’s Grammy-nominated version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” has been featured in a video released by NASA that was filmed aboard the International Space Station during Expedition 53. Captured by space station Commander Randy Bresnik and flight engineers Sergey Ryazanskiy and Paolo Nespoli, the video features stunning footage of Earth and outer space from the space station’s orbit 250 miles above Earth.

NORFOLK’S STAR PAYASELF – “1THOU”

Norfolk, VA emcee and entreprenuer Star PaYaself ends the fourth quarter srong with his latest single “1Thou”, released on PaYaself Records. Like many of his releases, you can jam this one in the club or the ride.

PaYaself Records is the indie label Star co-owns with his partner Wes Wright. The two teamed up after realizing there wasn’t a lot of young, new talent from their region with a voice or platform. Their goal is encourage fellow artists to take control of their own brand and content; hence the PaYaself moniker. Star’s own music is a welcome blend of substance and beats you can’t sit down to, making him one to watch for 2018.
