Rising UK rock duo Anavae have today released their brand new EP Are You Dreaming? via Better Noise Records/ Eleven Seven, featuring the explosive new single ‘All Or Nothing’. It follows the release of the single ‘Are We Alone’ in September – you can watch the video for that track here.
Formed of Rebecca Need-Menear (vocals) and Jamie Finch (guitar), the band bridge the gap between rock and electronica, delivering a fresh and powerful sound which is loaded with personality, memorable hooks and standout vocals throughout the new EP.
Named after a book on lucid dreaming and inspired by their joint love of sci-fi movies, novels, soundscapes, images, voices and soundtracks, Are You Dreaming? is a powerful fusion of edgy alt-rock, pop and electronica while it embodies themes of fantasy and escape. “We wanted to make music that was pure to what we were feeling; we wanted to start loving what we were writing and start living what we were thinking”, explains vocalist Rebecca. “It feels like opening a door… it feels like relief.”
