After a trying battle with hearing loss and a number of surgeries, Seattle via Nashville producer L’Orange preps his new album ‘The Ordinary Man’ (Out October 27th on Mello Music Group), a concept album about a superstar magician disillusioned with the world that made his greatness. Now fully deaf in one ear, this album marks a shift and growth for L’Orange towards an even tighter and developed sound while maintaining his sample-heavy knack for finding the essence of his influences in every beat.

Fischerspooner shares new alternative video for “Togetherness”

Today Fischerspooner’s Casey Spooner shares his alternate ravishing edit of his music video for “Togetherness” featuring Chairlift’s Caroline Polachek that dropped last Friday. It was directed by both Casey and Warren Fischer and features trans artist/model Juliana Huxtable. The group puts forth a new, resistant narrative in response to the current atmosphere in America. The song is off their upcoming album, Sir, produced by Michael Stipe and also features some production by BOOTS (Beyonce & Run The Jewels), along with mixing by Stuart White (Beyonce’s Lemonade) and Andy LeMaster out February 16 via Ultra.

Meyhem Lauren & DJ Muggs release new video

Last week Queens rapper Meyhem Lauren and LA producer DJ Muggs announced their joint album Gems From The Equinox is set for release on October 27th via Soul Assassins Records with the first single/video “Street Religion” featuring Roc Marciano and today the duo release the second free instant grat track and video from the project called “Murder Rap.” They also reveal the album will feature special guests Action Bronson, Sean Price, Roc Marciano, Conway, B-Real, Hologram, Mr. Mothufuckin’ eXquire, and more. Historic Eric Clapton Guitar Goes on Sale

In 2004 when Eric’s coveted Blackie sold at Christies at a then-record-breaking price of $959,500, the guitar world was astounded. That guitar was Eric’s favorite “side kick” for more than 15 years and was known to music fans throughout the world. In the years since, major guitars have now sold into the multi-millions, but that sale of Blackie at nearly $1 million 14 years ago provided a tipping point in the perception of value for such historic instruments.

Now…. The Guitar being sold: Offered in that same auction was another very special guitar that Eric personally collaborated in designing in order to replace Blackie several years after its retirement. It was created in Blackie’s image, ultimately with the famed black and white two-tone colors, and upon its completion in 1990 it became Eric’s standard go-to instrument throughout the period 1990-1993.

3rd Annual ‘Bowl for Ronnie’ Raises $49,000 for Dio Cancer Fund

The third annual BOWL FOR RONNIE Celebrity Bowling Tournament, benefiting the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (www.diocancerfund.org), took place on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City, California. This year’s event brought in $49,000 for the Dio Cancer Fund, now in its eighth year of raising awareness and much-needed funding for cancer research. It was attended by a capacity crowd of over 300 rockers, bowling enthusiasts, DIO fans and Dio Cancer Fund supporters, with tickets selling out the day before causing the building to be filled to capacity.
