Harris has previously released the albums Leland (2012) and Minutes of Sleep (2014), both of which have been lauded for their extensive use of live instrumentation stitched into the experimental and electronic DNA. Building on this approach for Aris Kindt, Hedrick adds his own sonic signature in effects-laden layers of electric guitar and modular synthesizer. Collectively, the album swells and reverberates to create a seamless interplay of synths and instrumentation cast loose from their origins and awash in oceanic delay.

In 2004 when Eric’s coveted Blackie sold at Christies at a then-record-breaking price of $959,500, the guitar world was astounded. That guitar was Eric’s favorite “side kick” for more than 15 years and was known to music fans throughout the world. In the years since, major guitars have now sold into the multi-millions, but that sale of Blackie at nearly $1 million 14 years ago provided a tipping point in the perception of value for such historic instruments.
Now…. The Guitar being sold: Offered in that same auction was another very special guitar that Eric personally collaborated in designing in order to replace Blackie several years after its retirement. It was created in Blackie’s image, ultimately with the famed black and white two-tone colors, and upon its completion in 1990 it became Eric’s standard go-to instrument throughout the period 1990-1993.
The video premiered on All Things Go where director Graham Hill shared, “Perhaps nearly all of us have had the experience of feeling alone and isolated in a sea of people. “The nocturnal visuals of barren tree branches and power stations sit alongside the band’s somewhat morbid love song which marries intense post-rock guitars with more indie sensibilities underlined by singer Grzegorz Kwiatkowski’s delicate vocals. The video was made by the band’s drummer Tomek Pawluczuk, who is also a graphic designer, and bassist Wojtek Juchniewicz.”
